Rio Dulce (sweet river) it is part of a lake and river system that has become a popular cruising sailboat destination. The river begins at the point where it flows out of Lake Izabal.

On this experience you will cross through "EL Golfete", the wider are of the river in which the Chocon Machaca park and the
floating gardens are located. Along the way you will also stop at Ak'Tenamit, a local cooperative that has been able to assist the village in the education and medical services through sustainable methods.

Between "El Golfete" and Livingstone, starts an impressive canyon with walls of jungle and limestone.

The tour ends at Livingston, the only town in Guatemala in which the Garifunas settle in the 1800s. It has a unique ambiance that you won't find anywhere else in the country. Laid-back and
relaxed, Livingston will remind you more of a Caribbean island than of Latin America.

First you board you private charter from Punta Gorda, then cruise to Golden Stream river for fishing "catch your lunch", then on to the Cayes for snorkeling, scuba diving, r&r, BBQ lunch, etc.

The Snake Cayes is a group of four small islands that lie roughly about 20 miles off its southern coast of the Toledo District and include West, Middle, East and South Snake Cayes. They got their names due to the abundance of boa constrictors that once lived on one of the islands.
