One of the pillars of the CDA philosophy is to strive to help students become successful learners that as adults will be those who can solve important, real-world problems creatively, find new ways to do things, and work in an inter-connected, highly technological world with diverse partners. As a way to instill this entrepreneurial mindset, the end of the year final project in 11th grade economics, students develop a business idea/concept, which then they have to submit to the Bisneros and Innovators Challenge at the University Francisco Marroquín. This contest gives students the opportunity to put their entrepreneurship skills and ideas into practice by submitting a business idea in the areas of entrepreneurship or innovators. The contest has an added incentive by including a money price in the respective categories. This year 66 students submitted their ideas to the University Marroquín, of the 10 finalists, 3 were from CDA in the Bisneros category and they won the first three places, winning $1000, $500, and $250 respectively:

Aromática: Diana Sofia Orellana, Valentina Gálvez, Nathalia Cardona

As the curtains rose and the stage lights illuminated, we were proud of the exciting journey that our CDA Broadaway Company brought to us through its extraordinary performance in Teatro Abril. Our talented students poured their hearts and souls into this production, and we are thrilled to showcase their passion. Join us in celebrating their hard work and talent as they transported us to the magical realm of musical theater. We are excited to launch a new chapter in our Department of Arts, where our CDA Broadway Company is the result of the collaboration of theater, music, dance, and scenography. We truly thank and appreciate our Middle and High School performing arts teachers who guided this new project: Miss Ana Lilian, Miss Vivi, Miss Andrea, Miss Renata, Miss Julissa, and Miss Jazmin.

Huge Congratulations to Ana Sofía!

Ana Sofía, who graduated from grade 5 today, represented Guatemala 🇬🇹 at the BMX World Championship in Rock Hill, SC. She competed fiercely, making it to the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals, winning an incredible 4th place!

Congratulations to Andrés Garcia Del Valle for winning with the National Team of Guatemala the UNCAF U16 Soccer tournament! Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and this victory in Costa Rica is a great achievement. Well done on your outstanding performance!
