Earth hour coastal clean up. Join Visit Guyana and the numerous agencies out here this morning on the Seawall and lend your hands to a good cause.

It is disappointing to see the amount of trash here on the wall and I personally ask you please do not litter. Take your trash with you if you can’t find a bin. This is our home. When visitors come we want them to think of us as clean citizens. Let’s do this!

Guyana can be so beautiful if we keep it tidy! Let’s all do our parts as responsible citizens!

1) put your rubbish in a bin or take your rubbish with you if no bin is available
2) keep a bag in your car to collect rubbish
3) buy less packaging and use reusable containers
4) Participate in a community clean-up day
5) Educate others. Consider participating in various community events that promote a healthier environment.
Education is a vital tool to help reduce littering. Encourage others to refrain from overfilling garbage bins.
