The first event of this series of activities invited Guyanese primary school students. Introduced the deeds of the China medical team in Guyana for more than 30 years. Traditional Chinese activities such as shuttlecock kicking, ring toss, and calligraphy writing, and Chinese snacks tasting were experienced.

Ms. Guo Haiyan, Chinese Ambassador to Guyana, and Mr. PAUL, President of the Guyana-China Friendship Society, attended the event and delivered speeches.

GPHC in new approach to hip replacement surgeries - Kaieteur News The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) said it has successfully incorporated surgical technique in its Orthopaedics Department.

The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) proudly announces the successful incorporation of a groundbreaking surgical technique in its Orthopaedics Department. On March 26, 2024, the hospital introduced the Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) to the Hip in the Lateral Position for Total Hip Replacement surgery. This innovative approach was made possible through the expertise of visiting Orthopaedic/Arthroplasty surgeon, Dr. Chao Zhou, from the esteemed Chinese Medical Brigade.
