On Saturday, June 15, 2024, UGES hosted a games night at the International Square. The night was full of games and members were able to socialize and enjoy a well deserved break after the final exams period.

In addition, members had the opportunity to compete in a domino game for a ticket to attend the ECONOME Ill conference. The winner of the competition was Miss Kezra. She will be one of the students representing UGES at the ECONOME Ill conference.

UGES thanks all students who came out to participate in our games nights. We look forward to many more like these.

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, students from the Economics Society attend the ECONOME Ill conference. This opportunity allowed our students to gain insights into entrepreneurship and business strategies. UGES extends gratitude to Mr. Matthew Gaul who supported the initiative of student involvement at the University of Guyana through UGSS.

Attention All Students!

Tomorrow our team will be going head to head in Round One Match #3 of the Speaker’s Regional Debating Competition, against Child Rights Ambassadors Youth group! We will see their true economics and oratory skills put to test as they tackle a moot close to our hearts! “The benefits of a cashless society outweighs the drawbacks”
Our debaters have been working tirelessly to ensure they bring the heat tomorrow, so let’s join forces and show our support for our team! We know you guys will make us proud!
