That weekend feeling when you are without your kid for a few hours having lunch with your mom friend and the Sun is shining…👌☀️
Wine is technically a fruit right!?🍷
Day 7 / 30 plant over processed challenge…
Thanks for a lovely afternoon 😘
What are your weekend plans?👇
Today was one of those days…
I cried twice before 8 am… 😭
Caspian woke up at 5 AM screaming… continued to throw everything he could grab, on the floor, until the house looked like a bomb exploded.
I also changed 3 p**p diapers 💩 while he screamed some more…
I was sitting in the middle of the mess listening to him have another tantrum over a raisin or something else insignificant… just sat there starring into thin air feeling so lonely, feeling so exhausted… wanting the screaming to stop and just run away…
Then the neighbours started drilling…this has been going on for a month now… constant construction noise… everything is shaking and I haven’t had a coffee yet…
I find myself missing my besties in Hong Kong, wanting to be with them in person, drink a coffee or have dim sum together and belly laugh…
I walk upstairs, lock myself in the bathroom and just fall to the floor crying 😭 it’s been 2 days since my last shower, my hair is greasy, my b***s hurt from breastfeeding a teething and I just let the tears come out…
Ever since going through my my hormones are all over the place…
The repetition of every day, cooking, cleaning, entertaining a toddler without grown up conversation starting to eat me up…
My emotional support dog Coffee comes in and jumps up in my arms…she comforts me ❤️ she doesn’t like when I cry…
I decide the only way to get out of this state is to call my besties and tell them how I feel. They pick up, they are together at an event, they take time to talk to me and make me feel better…
I then leave the noisy messy house like it is… and go to the ocean with Caspian and let him run wild while I take some deep breaths… starting to feel even better…
“You’ve got this I whisper to myself… you are not alone, you are loved” 🥰

Embryo loss is loss🤍
I haven’t told anyone this but a few trusted souls…
This summer I was supposed to tranfer our last remaining embryo…
Caspians pseudo twin I called him…
A lot of sacrifice goes into making embryos…both physically, emotionally and financially…
An hour before the procedure, I was informed that something had gone wrong and the embryo didn’t make the thawing…
I fell to the ground and just started sobbing uncontrollably 😭 I was so ready to have another baby and I never even thought there was a risk of it dying before I even got to the transfer.
At the same time I felt guilty for grieving an embryo loss, when I already have a healthy thriving ICSI baby and so many are still waiting for theirs. I didn’t want to tell anyone because I didn’t think anyone would understand.
Today I would have been ready for my 12 week scan. But instead I’m gonna go eat some cake 🍰 cake always helps…
I wanted to take a minute to honor and remember everyone's lost embryos. You are not silly for feeling the grief, these are real losses too 🤗

EMERGENCY C-SECTION birth story
“My favorite scar is the one that saved my baby’s life, but it didn’t start that way. C-section healing, birth trauma work, self acceptance all came first. I was NOT ok with how either of my labor and deliveries went. It took a lot of self work and working through grief and truly mourning the loss of the births that I had always longed for.
You are not less than, b/c you didn’t have a vaginal birth, or an unmedicated birth, or a VBAC. You are enough as you are, and so was the way you brought your baby into this world.
Happy 4th birthday to my 2nd c-section baby, Leo Maddox ❤️💙”
…………
Thank you so much for sharing your birth story
I can really relate to all of it.
You are an inspiration to me and so many women who have gone through the same.

BABY HUNGER & FULLNESS CUES 😋 (SWIPE)
The amount of times I have been frustrated because my baby was crying trying to figure out what he wanted…only realising he was hungry.
Or when my baby didn’t want to eat the food I just prepared, only to find out actually he just wasn’t hungry and was trying to show me by using these cues.
Hopefully this can help you figure it out…
Some of these signs for hunger may look like:
-Crying
-Leaning towards the food to reach for it
-Happy, playful mood and is bringing their hands to their mouth
-Reaching for more food
-Watching you eat
Then it's okay to offer more!
Some examples of being done may be:
-Start crying
-Pushing the food away
-Dropping the food on the floor (on purpose after eating)
-Turning their head away, getting distracted
-Playing with the food (after they have eaten)
-Closing their mouth/lips and leaning away from the food

“HELP my baby is waking up an hour early 🤦🏻♀️💤 I am soooo tired.” - most mums around daylight saving time.
Time to turn your ⏰ back! But how do you transition into daylight savings time without your child waking up an hour early?
Here in Europe we already transitioned on October 31st (➡️see 3rd slide) but in the states it’s not until November 7th.
Check out this step by step guide to an easier transition by Dr. Aubrie
❤️ Save this post for later reference and SHARE it with another parent who could benefit from this.
Dr. Aubrie says:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🕰 Do yourself a favor & don't adjust the clocks right away in order to save yourself the psychological trauma of seeing your child waking an hour earlier 😉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You have two choices here. Start preparing early (11/3) or wait until the day of (11/7). Swipe 👉 for example schedules
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅There is no right answer, go with what works best for your family! It’s also fine to do absolutely nothing and wait for baby to adjust!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️Note: babies younger than 4/5 months should still have their schedule based on wake windows. But if you feel like implementing parts of these tips, do what feels right for you!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⏩Slide 1: Starting early
Push your child’s schedule FORWARD by 15 minutes each day and then on the 7th go back to your original timing
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⏪Slide 2: Wait for the day of
Move your schedule BACK 30 minutes for all naps and bedtime for three days, then on the 10th go back to your original schedule
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😴And as always, do not rush in when they fuss around early in the morning. Wait 10 minutes, then push your wait time every few days until they begin waking around their usual time (unless of course, they are crying - then attempt to help them back to sleep for a bit any way you can).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼It can take about a week for any of us to adjust to a time change, so be patient & don't stress too much over it!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you have a favourite side?
[NEW VIDEO - see link in bio]
Most of us have a dominant side, where we prefer carrying our baby, while doing stuff with the other hand…
This can make your spine unbalanced and cause a number of different aches and pains.
And yet we still do it out of habit.
Mine is the right side, what is yours?👇
Next time try and be aware of this and maybe switch sides, even if it feels weird at first, in order to even out the load of your spine.

Ever since he started running…it’s been no looking back…🏃🏻♂️
Some days I really struggle coming up with things to do with him and then there’s days like today, when I have my mom friends around with older children and they come up with cool things to do…
I think us moms who had a baby during the pandemic, being stuck at home for a year with no baby classes or socialising, still needs to get used to going out and doing stuff… or is it just me!?
I still find it weird going to a playground….🤷🏻♀️
Does anyone have ideas how to engage a toddler on a daily basis?
He won’t start nursery until he is 2 years old, leaving me with another 6 months to entertain him…
I MADE THIS! 😂 from baby to toddler in just a few months..
👉 SWIPE to see 11 months vs 15 months
My baby is growing up so fast… 🤦🏻♀️
I miss his little chubby legs and cheeks and long naps, where I was able to have a cup of warm coffee, while sitting down…with no screaming 😂
How old is your baby/babies now? And what is 1 thing you miss the most?
2018 vs 2021
Looking back at the busiest I have ever been…
From full time running my Pregnancy & Baby Chiropractor clinics in Hong Kong, going to events and doing speaking engagements, while promoting my newly published book & working with human trafficking charity… 😅
To full time boy mama, living in a new country, trying to do my best in this role of mother…who just needs a break from it all sometimes…who’s coffee consumption has gone up threefold within the last year…who uses dry shampoo for a week at a time, forgets to put on makeup & wears whatever feels comfortable… but for some reason have a different kind of peace of mind, like a deep level of this is the hardest I’ve ever done, but also the most rewarding. Worth all the tantrums, sleepless nights & general exhaustion.
Wouldn’t change it for the world.
But also accepting that sometimes it is okay to miss your old life and identity…
Anyone who can relate?👇
World mental health day ❤️
When I share my story I’m doing it because I want you to know you are not alone 🤗
Most of us have things we struggle with behind the beautiful Instagram feeds we portray to the World…
When I think back on my labour… what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life, turned into an emergency c-section followed by a hospital resistent bacterial infection and postpartum depression.
I had planned and prepared myself for a home water birth, a beautiful Golden hour with my newborn and a wonderful natural breastfeeding journey… instead corona lockdown resulted in the government banning home births, being forced into hospital at 8 cm dilated, being poked and probed (pudendus blocade, bee stings, spinal, iv in my hand, 3 failed catheter attempts) I’m really scared of needles so this really put my nervous system in alarm mode and instead of peace and quiet, my room filled up with medical staff stressing me out to the point of my partner screaming at them to get the baby out after 8 hours of active labour and pushing with no progress. Turned out babys head was transverse positioned and couldn’t move down the birth canal because I had a full bladder blocking the way. Something that could’ve been avoided if I had been in my birthpool.
The amount of anger, defeat and pain spiralled me into a postnatal depression where I couldn’t get out of bed or take care of my baby, I cried until I couldn’t see, and thought about taking my own life all while trying to battle a resistant bacterial infection resulting in continuous mastitis and eventually surgery of my right breast to remove the puss. I’m not sure how on Earth I survived all of this, but I did and I can finally look back at these photos without crying and appreciate that I have a healthy baby who I’m now super connected to and love more than anything ❤️
Thank you for reading this far and please share your own story in the comments 🙏 What did you have to overcome to be here today?👇
I cannot say this enough! You really do deserve LOVE and AFFECTION ❤️ sometimes we give all we have to our children and are left feeling touched out and drained at the end of the day…
So if that is you, this is a friendly reminder that you deserve to fill up your own bucket 🤗
Let me know 1 thing you will commit to do for yourself this week to fill you up?👇
✨
Listen, I’m excited for fall too… but it’s still hot as hell outside, and I can’t focus on pumpkins and sweaters when I have b**b sweat 😅😂

Flying with a toddler ✈️
Here’s my tips for making the trip a little easier:
1). Invest in a from that can fold into the overhead compartment meaning you can easily stroll your toddler all the way to the gate without having to carry too much weight (learned this the hard way - carrying a 13 kg toddler in a baby carrier on the first trip leaving me completely exhausted)
2). Try and book an early flight if possible, so your toddler can have a nap on the flight.
3). For takeoff/landing use a dummy, bottle or breast for baby to suck on equalizing the pressure in the ears.
4). Pack some lightweight new toys. I usually bring a pixie book and some colourful fidgets he can press.
5). Pack your toddlers favourite snacks and bring wet wipes to clean his hands and face afterwards. I also bring a water bottle with a straw so it’s easy for him to drink without spilling all over the seats.
6.) Children under 2 years old fly for free, I always book the isle and window seat leaving the middle seat open for my toddler to lie down and sleep. The odds of someone booking that middle seat is slim.
7). Before the trip I download some animal movies on so they can be accessed on the iPad when I’m offline. Caspian loves Penguin Town at the moment and can watch the episodes again and again.
8.) Don’t forget a few xtra diapers than you think plus an xtra set of clothes in case of a 💩 explosion!
You are all set to go - safe travels 💙✈️
Happy 5 year birthday 🇩🇰🇭🇰 to my loyal companion my best friend, my emotional support dog and sweetest big sister to Caspian. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
