這個夏季，香港聖公會檔案館繼續致力於推廣文化遺產保護，為今年的暑期實習生舉辦一場紙本維護及中式書釘裝工作坊。在檔案館職員的指導下，實習生學習了如何製作中式書籍和文件盒，還掌握了煮漿糊以及去除膠紙的技巧。通過這一整天的實踐，兩位同學不僅了解了紙本文獻損毀的各種原因，更加認識了正確地處理紙張和書籍的重要性。

這個工作坊不僅提升了她們對紙本維護的意識，更啟發了她們對這項專業的興趣。

This summer, the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives continues its commitment to promoting cultural heritage preservation by organizing a workshop on paper preservation and Chinese bookbinding for this year's summer interns! Under the guidance of the Archives staff, the interns learned how to make Chinese books and document boxes, as well as the techniques of making glue and removing tape. Through this day-long immersive experience, the two students not only gained an understanding of the various causes of damage to paper documents but also recognized the importance of proper handling of paper and books.

This workshop not only enhanced their awareness of paper maintenance but also sparked their interest in this professional field.

在剛過去的兩週裡，香港聖公會檔案館安排了一系列精彩的參觀活動，讓我們的實習生能夠探索不同的檔案及歷史機構。我們非常感謝聖保羅男女中學的熱情招待，兩位同學有幸參觀了校史展覽廳、獨特的音樂室及圖書館，深入了解學校的歷史軌跡。

此外，檔案館還為兩位暑期實習生和另一位冬季實習生安排參觀香港中文大學。在那裏，實習生榮幸地參觀了中文大學的校史館，並了解了中文大學圖書館特藏組的珍貴藏品。不僅有機會觀賞寶貴的資料，還認識了他們的工作流程。最後，我們參觀了中文大學崇基神學院的神學樓，了解了其豐富的書籍收藏。這些參觀活動為學生們提供了寶貴的學習經驗，讓他們獲益良多。

Over the past two weeks, the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives has organized a series of enriching visits to various archival and historical organizations for our student interns. We are incredibly grateful for the warm hospitality shown by St. Paul's Co-educational College, where two students had the unique opportunity to explore their school history gallery, music room, and library, gaining a deeper insight into the school's historical narrative.

Additionally, the Archives arranged a visit to the Chinese University of Hong Kong for two summer interns and another winter intern. It was an honor for them to visit the CUHK History Gallery and learn about the treasures housed within the Special Collections Unit of the CUHK Library. They not only observed these valuable items but also gained an understanding of the workflow involved in their preservation. Finally, our staff and interns were privileged to explore the Theology Building of the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, CUHK, where they delved into its rich collection of books. These visits have provided our students with invaluable learning experiences.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the partnering institutions for supporting these memorable experiences for our interns!

上星期五，香港聖公會檔案館的職員和本年度的暑期實習生到訪了聖公會聖三一座堂。聖公會聖三一座堂堂牧張文偉牧師自帶領我們參觀，包括聖堂、文物櫃及教堂周邊的環境。同時，他詳細地介紹了座堂獨特的建築風格和悠久的歷史，還有東九龍教區的發展故事，以及馬頭圍和土瓜灣社區的演變。這使兩位暑期實習生獲益良多。這次寶貴的經驗對兩位實習生來說無疑是難得的學習機會，豐富了他們的見聞和知識。

Last Friday, the interns of the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives, together with their supervisor, visited the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Holy Trinity Cathedral. Father Tim Cheung, the chaplain of the cathedral, led us on a tour of the cathedral, the chapel, the heritage cabinets, and the surroundings of the church. In addition, he introduced in detail the unique architectural features and history of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the history of the Diocese of Eastern Kowloon, and the community development in Ma Tau Wai and To Kwa Wan. This experience was a very valuable learning opportunity for the two summer interns, enriching their knowledge and insights.

香港聖公會檔案館在6月8日參加了由香港檔案學會在保良局總部所舉辦的檔案博覽。當天，我們向來訪者展示了不同版本的公禱書、三所座堂的歷史資料，以及香港聖公會首位華人牧師—鄺日修牧師的生平事蹟。許多對香港聖公會和本館感興趣的人來參觀我們的攤位，我們很高興能分享館藏，與業界同仁交流，並了解其他檔案館和文獻庫的工作。這次博覽是一個寶貴的機會，讓我們介紹香港聖公會的歷史資源，並與業界促進更緊密的交流合作。

The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives participated in the Archive Expo at Po Leung K*k Headquarter organized by the Hong Kong Archives Society on June 8th. On that day, we showcased different versions of prayer books, the history of three cathedrals, and the historical stories of Rev’d. Matthew Kwong Yat-Sau, the first Chinese priest of the Hong Kong Anglican Church.

Many visitors interested in the HKSKH and the Archives came to visit our booth, and we were pleased to share our collections, interact with friends in the archival profession, and learn about the work of other Archives and repositories. The Expo was a valuable opportunity for us to introduce the historical resources of the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui and to foster wider exchanges and co-operation.

昨天，本檔案檔很高興接待了兩位訪客，他們是王浩牧師(Revd. Frank Wang)和林銘立牧師(Revd. Erik Bürklin)，後者自2001年起擔任中國伙伴(China Partner)的主席。本館檔案主任魏克利牧師為他們介紹了本館藏品，兩位對這些藏品都深感興趣。

「中國伙伴」會根據中國基督教協會的要求，為平信徒牧師、神學院學生和聖經學校學生舉辦短期培訓研討會。培訓研討會的主題包括傳福音、門徒訓練、基督徒領袖和教牧關懷等等。

The Archives were glad to had two visitors yesterday, they are Revd. Frank Wang and Revd. Erik Bürklin who is the President of China Partner (中國伙伴) since 2001. Revd. Wickeri, our Archivist, showed them some of our collections and they showed great interest in it.

China Partner organizes short-term training seminars for lay pastors, seminary students, and Bible school students in accordance with the requirements of the China Christian Council. The theme of the training seminars includes evangelism, discipleship, Christian leadership, and pastoral care.

The HKSKH Archives maintains a small library of books in English and Chinese, mainly dealing with Anglicanism in Hong Kong and the history of Christianity in China Here are four of our new acquisitions.

1849年5月11日（女王十二年），英國維多利亞女王通過《英皇制誥》建立維多利亞教區。據《英皇制誥》載：「朕意決及宣布香港島及其屬地上的維多利亞城及所有領地，自此之後成為維多利亞主教之教區。這一教區也屬於其後的維多利亞主教，自始至終均稱作維多利亞教區。」香港聖公會即是這175年前所建的維多利亞教區的後繼。故而，《英皇制誥》可視作為我們教區的“出生證明書”。

The Diocese of Victoria was established by Queen Victoria, in the twelfth year of her reign (1849) by Royal Letters Patent. “And we do ordain make constitute and declare the said City and all the Territory comprised in our said Island of Hong Kong and Its Dependencies to be the Diocese of the Bishop of Victoria hereinafter named and of his Successors Bishops of Victoria and to be called in all time the Diocese of Victoria.” The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui is the successor body to the Diocese of Victoria, formed 175 years ago today. The Letters Patent may be said to be our diocesan “birth certificate”.

【2024香港聖公會檔案館展覽: 「香港聖公會的開端，1842-1912年」】
香港聖公會檔案館於4月6日至13日在聖公會諸聖座堂的展覽已圓滿結束。是次展覽的主題為「香港聖公會的開端，1842-1912年」，展示了從早期維多利亞教區至中華聖公會成立的歷史文件及藏品。今次一連八天的展覽吸引逾1000人蒞臨參觀，非常熱鬧。

我們欣喜4月6日展覽如期開幕。當天得到多位聖品、教友和公眾人士光臨參加典禮，倍感榮幸。我們非常感謝香港聖公會教省主教長陳謳明大主教擔任主禮嘉賓，為開幕禮致辭和主持剪綵，使典禮更加隆重。

除了展出珍貴藏品外，本館在展期內舉辦了17場導賞團，吸引不同群體參與，包括公眾、教會教友、聖公會諸聖中學的學生和聖公會西九龍教區的聖品。同時，我們舉辦了兩場講座，陳睿文博士為聖公會西九龍教區聖品介紹了「鼓浪嶼之華人基督徒音樂家的故事」; 魏克利博士牧師的公眾講座則深入探討了「施約瑟主教與他對香港的影響」。

我們由衷感謝陳謳明大主教的支持，聖公會諸聖座堂主任范晉豪牧師借出展覽場地，對此深表感謝。我們也要感謝諸聖座堂同工的鼎力協助，聖公會諸聖中學校長和師生的支持，青山聖彼得堂、聖士提反女子中學和林準祥博士借出展品，為本次展覽增添豐富多彩的內容。我們亦感謝諸位義工、實習生和來賓的支持和參與，讓今次展覽順利舉行。

【Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives' exhibition 2024 : Anglican Beginnings in Hong Kong, 1842 - 1912】
The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives' exhibition held at SKH All Saints’ Cathedral from 6 to 13 April has come to a very successful completion. The theme of the exhibition was " Anglican Beginnings in Hong Kong, 1842 - 1912", showcasing historical documents and artifacts from the early days of the Diocese of Victoria to the founding of the Chung Hua Sheng Kung Hui. The eight-day exhibition attracted over 1,000 visitors.

We were delighted with the successful opening on 6 April and were honored by the presence of a number of priests, parishioners and the public on that day. We are very grateful to Archbishop Andrew Chan, Archbishop and Primate of HKSKH, for being the Guest of Honour at the Opening Ceremony and for hosting the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which made the ceremony even more meaningful.

In addition to displaying valuable exhibits, the Archives organized 17 guided tours during the exhibition period, which attracted a wide range of participants, including the public, church members, students of All Saints’ Middle School and clergy from the Diocese of West Kowloon. Meanwhile, two talks were organized. Dr. Ruiwen Chen gave a talk on "Christian Musicians of Gulang Island" for the clergy of the Diocese of Western Kowloon, while The Revd Prof. Philip L. Wickeri's public talk introduced "Bishop Joseph Schereschewsky and his impact on Hong Kong".

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to The Archbishop Andrew Chan for his continuous support; the Very Revd Samson Fan, Dean of All Saints' Cathedral, for providing us with the exhibition venue; the staff of All Saints' Cathedral for their help; the principals, teachers and students of All Saints’ Middle School for their support; St. Peter's Church in Castle Peak, St. Stephen's Girls' College, and Dr. Otto Lam for kindly lending us materials to make the exhibition a rich and interesting one. We would also like to thank all the volunteers, interns and guests for their support and participation in making this exhibition a success.

We are glad that the opening ceremony on April 6 went smoothly. We were honored to have The Most Revd. Andrew Chan, The Very Revd. Samson Fan, Dean of All Saints' Cathedral, as well as many clergy and friends to join us for the ceremony and exhibition.

Our staff organized two additional guided tours on the first two days of the exhibition because of the large number of people who came to join the tours, and we are very grateful to all of you for your generous support. The exhibition is open until this Saturday (13th), you are welcome to visit.

馬丁樓是香港聖公會檔案館的現址，以厄尼斯特．馬丁(Ernest W L Martin) 牧師的名字命名的。馬丁牧師曾擔任赤柱聖士提反書院校長多年，並積極參與教區的教育事務。

Martin House, the current location of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Archives, was named after The Reverend Ernest W L Martin. Rev. Martin was the School Principal of St. Stephen’s College in Stanley for many years, and was deeply involved in the educational affairs of the diocese.

𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘵. 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯’𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦 is the first detailed history of St. John's College's formative years. It explores the development of the college from its original components, St John's Hall for men and St Stephen's Hall for women, with alumni leaving their imprint as civic leaders in Hong Kong and elsewhere in a variety of fields.

The second volume of the institutional history examines how St John’s College and its residents developed during the postwar period until the end of the 1970s. It also adds uniquely to the history of HKU as well as to that of Hong Kong.

【《基督时报》 報道】 本年1月12日，上海大學宗教與中國社會研究中心舉辦了題為《國家和宗教視覺化：基督教與在華地圖繪製》學術講座，著名的中國基督教史研究學者魏克利教授（Philip Wickeri）在講座中介紹了19-20世紀中西文化交流過程中基督教在華繪製的地圖。
