We are back this year for Thailand! Pacific Trombone Project is going to perform at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music on 15th August 2024 7pm (FREE ADMISSION) !

We are also hosting a masterclass by Sam Armstrong (Trombone Faculty at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music), and Lee Allen (Trombone Faculty at the Tianjin Juilliard School), from 1-3pm at Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music.

This year we are commissioning and premiering a brand new piece for trombone ensemble setup by Hong Kong composer Elliot Leung! We are looking forward to performing his exciting music!

The George Curran Artist Model bass trombone has developed over the course of the artist's long relationship with the craftspeople of S.E. Shires instruments. The two-piece, standard weight yellow brass bell produces a warm sound with a prominent fundamental harmonic, combining quick response with a centered feel and expansive tone. The lightweight axial-flow valve set sounds and feels particularly broad and even-especially when both valves are engaged-allowing for a truly open low register and contributing to the instrument’s quick, easy response. This model represents an ideal realization of the heroic New York low brass sound.

等小編介紹埋workshop最後一位導師。
Mr. Anson Woo（胡皓霆）出生於香港,是一位才華橫溢的年輕長號演奏家。
他先在香港演藝學院取得學士學位,隨後赴蘇黎世藝術大學深造，獲得碩士學位，專攻長號演奏。
2023-2024年度，Mr. Anson Woo獲選加入香港管弦樂團精英訓練計劃，接受專業培訓。
Anson Woo 活躍於本地音樂舞台，為多個管弦樂團擔任客席樂師，如香港小交響樂團及澳門管弦樂團。2018年，受邀加入蘇州交響樂團，擔任客座長號演奏家。
2023年，Anson Woo受邀成為Pacific Trombone Project的核心成員，致力於將海外學成歸來的音樂知識分享。

Aaron 是一位熱愛室內樂演奏的藝術家。他聯同來自亞太地區的長號演奏家，共同創立了「Pacific Trombone Project」。這個計劃旨在匯聚各方背景的長號演奏家,一起演奏和錄製室內樂作品，增進彼此的音樂交流與演奏水準！

Aaron 熱衷於長號教學,樂於將自己的專業知識和演奏技巧傳授給學生。現時，他擔任香港演藝學院的長號教師，並負責指導學院的長號樂團。他致力為學生們提供團體演奏能力磨練的機會，這對於他們未來在音樂事業上的發展至關重要。

Aaron 的長號演奏充滿張力與深沈韻味,引領聽眾領略低音之美。作為 Shires 長號的代言人,他的演奏實力備受肯定。

活動當天, Mr. Giuseppe Fu將與 Mr. Aaron Albert 及 Mr. Anson Woo 一同演奏精彩的音樂片段。他更會分享日常練習的技巧和心得,大家仲可以帶埋樂器同佢哋一齊熱身練習！

在三位大師的指導下,我們將有一場精彩的大合奏,讓大家近距離欣賞到專業水平的演奏，同時也能學到寶貴的演奏技巧,並有機會與大師們一同合奏。

以下是符耀基先生特的簡歷。

香港土生土長的符耀基先生於 2023 年 1 月獲任為Jacksonville Symphony第二次中音長號手,同時在 2023 年 5 月完成於茱莉亞音樂學院的本科學位。

符耀基於 2012 年跟隨香港管弦樂團首席次中音長號手 Jarod Vermette 先生學習長號。2016 年 15 歲時遷居紐約市,以全額獎學金在茱莉亞音樂學院附屬預科就讀,師從 Denson Paul Pollard 博士學習低音長號。自此,他贏得多項比賽, 2016 年成為茱莉亞音樂學院附屬預科管弦樂團第一個低音長號獨奏家。2017 年,他於國際長號節贏得George Roberts Bass Trombone Competition(20 歲及以下組)。

其後,在 Joseph Alessi 先生指導下轉回演奏次中音長號。2018 年,他在台灣台北亞洲銅管節贏得次中音長號比賽(16-21 歲組)。2022 年夏季,他更於美國國家演奏團管弦樂團協奏曲比賽獲勝,並以次中音長號獨奏Nino Rota的《次中音長號協奏曲》。

除了獨奏家和管弦樂團長號手,符耀基也是活躍的室內樂音樂家,是五重奏Metropolis Brass的創辦人之一。2021 並在 Aspen Music Festival以學員身份與美國銅管五重奏合作演出。

符耀基亦有幸在世界級指揮家 Lorin Maazel, Christoph Eschenbach,余隆的指揮下與香港管弦樂團演出。

符耀基是香港賽馬會音樂與舞蹈基金獎學金得主,並為茱莉亞音樂學院 2023 年度科夫納獎學金獲得者,師從 Joseph Alessi 先生。
