The Pre-Tour Concert of our Taiwan Choral Music Tour was successfully held last weekend!
Besides our Tour Choir, we were also delighted to have 2 instrumental ensembles from College Band and the vocal ensemble from Canossa College Choir as guest performers.
With tremendous support from old boys, parents, friends and teachers, our choir boys will absolutely do their best at the Taipei International Choral Competition!

PercussionFest Hong Kong 2024

We are thrilled to be the venue supporter of PercussionFest Hong Kong 2024 this past weekend. The festival, featuring the IPEA International Percussion Competition, a percussion instruments expo, various masterclasses, and a highlight concert, was undeniably a remarkable and influential event in the Hong Kong percussion scene. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to .hk for their success in organising such an outstanding festival!

In addition, our boys have also achieved remarkable results in the IPEA International Percussion Competition and gained invaluable knowledge from the masterclasses and concerts. The prizes they captured include:
* 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up in the Marimba Youth Group
* 1st runner-up in the Chinese Percussion Youth Group
* 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Prize in the Chinese Percussion Ensemble Secondary School Group
* 2 Gold Prizes in the Percussion Ensemble Secondary School Group
Congratulations to all winners, and once again, thank you, .hk, for providing opportunities for our boys to learn and shine!

True Light Girls’ College Annual Concert 2024

We are honoured to be invited to perform in True Light Girls’ College’s Annual Concert this year.
The Senior Mixed Choir performed Mr Ernest Hui’s composition, 星星許的願, and the Senior Mixed Ensemble performed Mr Victor Li’s 竹蜻蜓; both of the performances received much positive feedback.

Hong Kong International Band Fair 2024

We are thrilled to announce that our College Band members have captured the Gold Award at the Hong Kong International Band Fair 2024 yesterday!
In addition, our College Band had the privilege of receiving an inspiring coaching session from Mr Chang Wing-chung as part of the Band Fair programme after the competition.

Congratulations to the musicians and it marks a perfect ending for this year’s College Band!

Following the success of the Band Pretour Concert, here comes another exciting concert announcement!

The Pretour Concert of the College Choir Taiwan Music Tour will be held at the Noble Hall, Ying Wa College, on 20 July 2024, 3:30pm-5:30pm.
Our singers will share with you all the music they have prepared for the Taipei International Choral Competition.
We are also delighted to have our guest performers from Canossa College singing with us!

We look forward to seeing you at the concert!

The Pre-tour Concert for our upcoming College Band Japan Music Tour was successfully held last Saturday!
It was a great occasion for our band members to showcase what they had prepared to bring to Japan and share with their fellow musicians there.

The Pretour Concert of the College Band Japan Music Tour will be held at the Noble Hall, Ying Wa College, on 29 June 2024, 3:00pm-4:30pm.
Our tour members are going to showcase the music they have prepared for the upcoming exchange tour.
Programme highlights include:
- Moonlight Dragon - a postcard from Hong Kong by Yasuhide Ito
- Takarajima by Hirotaka Izumi, arr. Toshio Mashima

We are excited to announce an upcoming concert at the Kumagaya Sakura Mate Cultural Creation Centre on 6 July 2024 featuring our College Band, the Saitama Prefectural Kumagaya Girls’ High School, and the Saitama Luminous Wind Orchestra.
The Japan-Hong Kong Band Exchange concert is going to be one of the highlights of our highly anticipated Japan Music Tour. Not to mention that it will be another opportunity for us to perform with our beloved Taiko master Taikokozo. We are looking forward to the opportunity to share our music with fellow musicians in Japan, engage in the enriching experience of creating music together and learning from each other!

Congratulations to old boy Wai Lun Cheung (2013) for his fabulous sharing as a Luthier!
Allen dedicated himself to the craft of violin making and studied under VSA award-winning master makers Charles Woolf, Sanghoon Lee, and Alex Wilson at the Violin Making School of America, graduating in 2022.
Last week, he visited our String Orchestra members and introduced our students to the art of violin making. As a special treat, he brought along four of his creations, two violins, a viola, and a cello, to let our String Quartet get a hand on these valuable instruments!

Our Percussion Ensemble was invited to give an opening performance at the Day X Night Vibes @ SSP event.

Their energetic performance sure infused a vibrant energy that reverberated through the entire space!

Cheers to Gordon Cheng and Helio Mak, who captured the Championship in the Violin Duet class of the Schools Music Festival!

Moreover, our String Quartet competed in the Senior String Ensemble class last week and achieved the Silver Award.

Our Senior Choir competed at the Schools Music Festival today and was titled the 2nd-runner up at the Secondary School Choir - Chinese - Boys - D1 - Senior category.

It was a humbling experience and we are grateful for the opportunity to share our music and learn from other amazing choirs!

Assembly Concert II
Our College Orchestra and String Orchestra shared their music with fellow schoolmates earlier this week.
The orchestras and various other music teams are going to participate in the school music festival in the coming few weeks, wish them all the best!

Our Intermediate Choir performed at the HKICF competition cm masterclass this afternoon and attained the Gold Award!
We are very grateful for the precious feedback and suggestions from the adjudicators and we have had a very fruitful afternoon.
