Since 2010, the art skill of Chan Hua has become an intangible cultural heritage for Taiwan, and it also carries an important role in the Hakka culture.  On festive days and special occasions, women beautify themselves by wrapping their own hair ornaments.  Some ladies make them for their daughters’ and granddaughters’ weddings and pass them down as heirlooms even to this day.

Chan-hua carries an important role in the Hakka culture.
