Yesterday we cooked for our guests.
Tonight we cook for ourselves.
A simple dinner with friends we made in this trip:
We had professional tempura from Koki
Spring roll from Yokky
Green curry from Thai artist Jirawong
Apple crumble from UK guest
Cucumber miso dip from a cheerful lady from Utsunomiya!

來到益子的cooking day 👩‍🍳

Cooking day 是 Yokky 在 Mashiko Museum Residency Program 的一個環節。用益子的植物蔬菜做的陶器，
以日常生活的方式與當地居民作一個互動。
互動，就來吃一頓飯吧！

前一天農民送來很多新鮮的蔬菜，
昨天我們做了二頓飯與大家分享。
還混合台灣帶來的愛玉和珍珠奶茶、
也有泰國 artist 做的美味咖喱…

Congratulations to Yokky’s exhibition at Mashiko! Flowplus partners, Venus and Heidi come to help a little for the setup preparations! Exhibition starts today at 10am!

Garlic 🌷… 蒜頭瓶！

粟米鬚、金菇、蓮藕、紫蘇葉。。。沾上釉掃印在陶器裡，其紋理是那麼的不同！釉燒後會變成怎樣呢？Soak the veggie into glaze…. Use them like a brush to mark its unique texture on the plate! Can’t wait to see how it turns out! Yokky will exhibit her work at Mashiko, starting this Saturday. Stay tuned.

A visitor from Japan came to our shop at PMQ, told me the good meaning of Lotus root in their culture…. Peeps through the holes on the root, you will see a good future! 日本來店的遊客告訴我，他們相信，通過蓮藕的孔望出去，無阻無擋，就是一切順利的好兆頭！襯在益子駐留的日子，要問問當地人是不是這個意思😀

What a luxury to use a front loading kiln! Our small kiln room can only afford a top loading one. We’ve never counted total pieces Yokky’s made for Flowplus since 2013, the FoodPrint, Lotusroot, Cracked, Knitwork…. loads of it! Her passion of love in ceramic is the drive to all the hard and sweaty work in clay!

在地食材本地坭，都快混入創作中了！

What more of pottery tools did Yokky bring to Mashiko? Of course, it’s her own 🖐️🖐️ … to get her touch on the clay and turn it into a piece of artwork able to talk to the audience! Curious to what’s at Mashiko will inspire her 除了這些工具，當然還有她的一雙手啦！做坭的手感由此而來！期待益子生活帶來的創作靈感。
