Following the launch of the 1969 Collection in June 2023, is now unveiling four new references, which will expand the brand’s 40mm permanent collection.

The first two references, Chronograph ref. SR201-S and Timer ref. SR301-S, combine sun-brushed silver-coloured dials with Singer’s bespoke stainless-steel case and bracelet. The sunray brushed finish of the dial creates a play on light that seamlessly blends with the finish of the stainless steel case. This harmonious combination of silver/gray tones tells the story of the timeless aesthetic of the 1969 era.

Crafted from bronze, the Chronograph ref. SR203 and Timer ref. SR303 are designed to embrace the spirit of uniqueness and individuality that is typical of Singer. The sculptured bronze case is highlighted by dynamic polished edges that capture the different adventures and experiences of the wearer, like a second skin, making the patina the witness of each wearer’s journey over time.

Just launched. Le Régulateur Grand Feu Enamel

Imagine the meticulous craftsmanship behind each masterpiece: the grand feu enamel dial, meticulously crafted by hand since the 17th century. Delicate strokes bring together a blend of minerals, mixed and fused into glass in the fiery embrace of an 800°C oven. This ancient alchemy, known as ”grand feu“ transforms mere elements into enduring art.

Crafting perfection demands patience and precision. Layer upon layer of enamel is carefully applied, each coat undergoing a fiery baptism in the kiln. Yet, mastery of this craft is elusive, requiring years of dedication to tame the whims of this temperamental material.

The journey is fraught with uncertainty. Despite the artisan‘s expertise, each firing holds the possibility of imperfections—rough textures, delicate cracks, or unexpected hues dancing across the surface. It’s a dance of mastery and mystery, where every stroke is a testament to the artist‘s skill and resilience. On average, 5-7 layers of enamel are needed to obtain the desired result.

Unlike its conventional counterparts, destined to fade with time, an enamel dial stands immutable, its colors frozen in perpetuity. Each one, a testament to the enduring legacy of artisanal excellence, a timeless treasure crafted by hand.

Champlevé enamel evokes your imagination behind the blue. The surface is carved out to form pits in which enamel is fired, leaving the original 18k gold exposed. The process and result are not always guaranteed, highly depends on the chemical reaction, humidity, baking time, you name the rest. Lang & Heyne keeps testing for the perfection, as they never compromise.

UR-230 Eagle. URWERK has developed a world-first set of shock absorbers designed to protect the new UR-7.30 calibre via turbines. A first set of turbines is dedicated to attenuating the impact of any external shock, thereby guaranteeing the robustness and durability of the watch. A second set controls the flow of air that feeds the winding system.

Two symmetrical indicators at 11 and 1 o’clock respectively show if your rotor is locked or release, and an air-flow indication, on how the turbines are activated.

Thanks one of the 9 owners of the Friedrich II Remontoir The Lavish Attic Edition for sharing the wrist shot 📸

“This is nice 😊 feeling I am doing something right! Thank you!”

The red “9” celebrates the 9 years of partnership between LANG & HEYNE and THE LAVISH ATTIC.

The face of the Friedrich II Remontoir is created by a two-part enamel dial. A new state of the art technology gives the possibility to cut massive enamel in slices. Thus, the idea was born to fix two of these discs on a metal support, thus obtaining an enamel dial with a lower small second. Since the highly polished discs cannot be burned again, they are printed with high-quality varnish and the indexes are hand- lined with superluminova.

The lancet hands indicate the time extremely accurate and are easy to read even by night thanks to their superluminova filling.

Le Régulateur x

atelier oï proceeded in a basic way: “To radiate from the centre outwards.” Taking care to reduce the technical
vocabulary as much as possible, reminiscent of the shape of a sundial. The result is a surface engraved with
asymmetrical rays, the light of which reveals reflections and contrasts - echoing the passion of the members of
atelier oï for the material and the play of light. The art of engraving being expressed here in its essence: drawn lines.
These lines create a space, to which the hands add the dimension of time.

Specially crafted for motorsport legend Jean Todt, .ch unveils ‘Anywhere,’ a one-of-a-kind masterpiece fashioned from a single block of platinum, a reimagining of van Gogh‘s famous painting, ‘The Starry Night.’

This watch goes beyond being a mere instrument for measuring time; it becomes a work of art in its own right. The use of miniature painting to reinterpret this iconic masterpiece is truly remarkable. Handcrafted with meticulous care, each detail and every swirl of color has been reimagined to capture the soul of the original.

To create the dial, first a multitude of tiny recesses are carved into the metal plate. Into these, a Swiss enamelist carefully deposits dabs of each color, in the form of lacquer, by hand – layer by layer, until the desired shades emerge, achieving an incredibly delicate effect. This melding of fine watchmaking with an age-old artistic craft creates a unique harmony where time appears to be suspended in the eternal beauty of ‘The Starry Night,’ inviting a unique sensory experience.

Les Matinaux L’Heure Exquise (The Exquisite Hour)

An enchanting celestial door opens at the heart of the dial, within a polished and satin-finished fl**ge. It reveals a ballet of stars dancing on a sapphire crystal to the rhythm of the seconds. Beneath this celestial waltz, two moons intertwine in a rhythmic you-and-me. They face each other in the night sky of the sunray disc, metamorphosing to the rhythm of this new X-Centric calibre.

On a sand-blasted dial reminiscent of the infinity of our sky, Trilobe takes its eccentric complication one step further with a waltz of moons. A gear wheel with 59 cogs evokes the orbit of the Moon around the Earth, completing a full cycle of 29.5 days. Through this mechanism, the moons quietly reveal their age. For the first time, the moon phase is co-axially linked to the seconds wheel, under a dynamic and mesmerizing starry sky. Les Matinaux are thus honored: three rotating rings bear the Maison’s first complication.

Q: How to prevent magnetic uncoupling in oil-filled TYPE 5?

A: To meet dive watch criteria, the TYPE 5 is equipped with a unique hydraulic shock absorber designed to prevent the uncoupling of the magnetic transmission.

When a shock occurs, oil flow increases, potentially exceeding the upper chamber‘s capacity. To address this, we engineered a bottlenecked oil flow and utilise oil viscosity as a damper.

The shock absorption system, built into the runner disc, functions as a hydraulic pump. Blades beneath the disc rotate at high speed, generating oil flow through small apertures.

This induces hydraulic friction, slowing the rotation speed of the runner disc and preventing magnet uncoupling.

Just launched. Le Régulateur x Black. Alain Silberstein had not had the opportunity to create a timepiece equipped with a tourbillon for over a decade. His friendship with Manuel Emch, CEO and Artistic Director of Louis Erard, made this return possible. With the complicity of a third inspiration: The renowned watchmaker Olivier Mory, a figure of contemporary mechanical creativity. A few years ago, he revolutionized the art of the tourbillon by creating a customizable, affordable, yet totally Swiss made movement, made entirely within a few kilometers of his workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the heart of Swiss watchmaking country.

.tixier The Team

Dominique Renaud was the driving force behind Renaud & Papi (co-created in 1986 with his friend Giulio Papi), the first-ever independent movement developer and manufacturer in horology.

Following Audemars Piguet’s acquisition of Renaud & Papi in 2000, Dominique Renaud pursued the path of an independent and relocated to the south of France. He returned to Switzerland about twelve years later to focus on developing his own inventions. It was during this time that he met a young watchmaker whose talents left an indelible impression on him: Julien Tixier.

After completing his studies, Julien Tixier was initially involved in the design, machining and fine-tuning of an exceptional timepiece for Parmigiani Fleurier: the ‘Hippologia’ automaton. In 2016, he began his watchmaking career at Laurent Ferrier, where he came face to face with the rigorous demands of the trade and honed his skills. The turning point came in 2016, when he met Dominique Renaud.

Marking the start of a new chapter in watchmaking history, this partnership is supported by a team of passionate professionals, including watchmaker Sébastien Rousseau, technician-constructor Alexandre Bugnon, and entrepreneurs Jean-Luc Errant (President) and Michel Nieto (CEO).

.tixier The Watch

‘Monday’, the inaugural creation and first chapter of Renaud Tixier’s journey, delves into the most sensitive aspect of mechanical watches, energy generation, by revisiting a classic of Haute Horlogerie: the micro-rotor, a mechanism that has seen little development since its industrial standardization in the 1930s and 40s. Their first milestone is an invention that transforms a weakness into a strength – through the ‘dancer’, a micro- rotor engine at the heart of the winding mechanism.

Technically, the ‘dancer’ is a high-flying athlete. It consists of several parts, with complex geometries, even though they perform elementary functions. A large spiral connects the central axis to the innovative mechanism, acting as a catapult. Another spring arm extends from the axis in the opposite direction: a kind of foot with a heel, which hits a stop in the event of a severe shock, serving as the shock absorber.

The ‘dancer’ takes center stage in this horological performance. Its natural elasticity is echoed by the unusual architecture of the bridges – light and arched like catapults – stretched over the micro-rotor, gear train, and the balance wheel. The finishes set the stage for a contemporary production, with each detail aiming for perfection: beveling by hand, mirror-polished titanium, a palladium balance wheel.

The dial face captures the essence, in a sober and classic display to highlight the timepiece’s inventiveness and make its reading as clear as possible. At nine o’clock, the dial reveals the micro-rotor’s hidden face; a small seconds counter corresponds at four o’clock.

Case material: 5N+ rose gold or white gold
Dimensions: 40.8 mm
Thickness: 11 mm
Movement : RTVI2023
Winding: Automatic, ‘Dancer’ micro-rotor
Power reserve: 60+ hours
Functions: Central hours and minutes with small seconds at 4 o’clock

“The H1 is for the heart. It is indeed impossible to escape the charm of this huge central tourbillon — the biggest tourbillon ever used in a wristwatch of this size. Every tick looks like an elegant move of a muse. And this muse has a voice, too: while it was a common phenomenon for the tourbillon in a pocket watch to “sing,” the much smaller wristwatches no longer have a melody, they simply tick. So, Beat wanted to bring the song to his wrist- watch creations too. By using so large and strong a tourbillon, he achieved this. Hold the H1 to your ear and it will turn your legs to jelly. This song is divine. What an intimate pleasure!” - .swiss

What’s the temperature for filling and sealing oil in TYPE 3 ?

It starts with the bellow, which is a self-equilibrating pressure-balance system. Ressence specially designed bellows extend or compress to compensate for changes in the oil’s internal volume between -5 degrees and +55 degrees Celsius. This range covers all extreme temperature situations the watch might undergo. +10 to +40 degrees Celsius - the white zone - corresponds to the watchmaking industry’s norm.

A mechanical gauge has been added to the ROCS 3 and to precisely indicate the internal oil temperature - which is a mix of outside and wrist temperature. The 0.5 mm bi-metal spiral is mounted 0.1 mm under the discs to captures the slightest temperature change inside the oil. The gauge can also be seen as a graphical representation of the compensation capacity of the seven bellows.

Answer: Ressence fills and seals TYPE 3 at -5 degrees Celsius. At this temperature the oil is condensed, avoiding gas bubbles in room temperature due to the expanding.

Behind the “making of the hand” , the pre-eroded blank hand will be carefully deburred and receive a circumferential grinding. The bottom surface is neatly grinded flat. Than the hand will be attached with wax on a special mounting. The outline of the mounting are equal to the hand. With a very hard, ceramical grindstone the surface of the hand will be domed to receive sharp edged tranitions. The crowning will be later smoothed with polishing strips. At last, the hand will be polished with a buffing and polishing paste.

The sun on the .ch Anywhere follows its course. Each one of its rays is unique, painstakingly finished in a subtle diamond‐cutting process that is technically quite complex.

It is a hand‐wound calibre, designed in the tradition of classic movements. Its barrel is coupled to an elegant ratchet click. All perforations are countersunk. The shape of the bridges is particularly adorned, made of solid and fine lines, an inviting canvas for the art of manual bevelling. The numerous hand‐ worked inward and outward angles establish Anywhere on a par with the finest of contemporary executions.
