Filming has started for our documentary on the Cuban painter Wifredo Lam, a pioneer of multicultural art. Born to a Chinese father and a Congo-Spanish mother, Lam is a one of the few accomplished artists of colour in the largely European modern art movements of cubism and surrealism. 🎥🎨

Another exciting announcement for the month! Mar Vivo Films is bringing Helldiver, a US-Japan feature film in development to the Tokyo International Film Festival's Financing Market.

The film is a survivalist thriller that features two enemy combatants on an overturned World War II fighter plane, stranded in the Pacific ocean after a deadly battle between American forces and Japanese kamikaze pilots. The two young men have to fight against their own deeply ingrained ideologies to survive, revealing the power of human connection.

It will be helmed by Tod Kip Williams, who has directed several Hollywood films that have grossed over 200M at the box office, including Paranormal Activity 2, The Door in the Floor, and Cell.

"Forever Q***r" is expanding its footprint around the globe - having been officially selected by the New York PrideFull Film Festival! We are so thrilled to be part of this year’s line-up, and our film is now available for streaming to audiences anywhere in the USA.

Together with our documentary on Mr. Kenzo Takada, we also partnered with Decentraland and the Lumiere Project to launch an entire building in the metaverse as well as an exclusive NFT collection in tribute to the Japanese master of the "ethno-chic" fashion.

Such an amazing project, we are entering into the 3rd millennium at full speed!

With Cannes Film Festival returning as a glamorous "live" event this year, we held a special presentation of our upcoming documentary about the life of Mr. Kenzo Takada, a man who revolutionised the world of haute couture with colourful designs and extravagant fashion shows.

As Asia enters the Year of the Tiger, Film & TV productions are going on at full steam here. Just last month, the networks Netflix (New York) and RMC Découverte (Paris) have entrusted us for their shoots in Hong Kong, and we're now prepping for a movie production in Thailand!
