Hola! I am Alejandra Ramírez, a Costa Rican Interior Designer based in Singapore, who has always held a fascination, curiosity, and passion for design and aesthetics. My adventurous spirit led me on a globe-trotting journey to multiple cities, and I've lived in three different countries, immersing myself experiencing myriad cultures, histories, and architectural wonders. A few years ago, I took a leap of faith to leave my marketing job and turn my passion and eye for design into a career by studying interior design at Insight School of Interior Design in Hong Kong. I worked at , a renowned F&B interior design studio, and then went on to join , an acclaimed design and creative agency, where I worked as an interior designer and creative strategist.⁠

It's been around a year since my husband and I embarked on another incredible journey to Singapore and it's been quite an adventure. Amidst the whirlwind of adjusting to a new city, we were blessed with the arrival of our precious baby girl, Antonia. In the past year, I’ve been learning what it means to be a mum, which is the most important role in my life, while continuing my professional growth as an interior designer.⁠

Now the time has come to open my own studio in Singapore. This new venture will allow me to work with new clients and offer them my skills, culture, process, and creative thinking — and the same extends to collaborators, vendors, partners, and other creatives I will be working with on each project.⁠

They were looking to have a playful yet functional space where they could come back everyday after their busy lives in Hong Kong and feel at home 💫⁠

We created a space rich in colour, blended with soft textures and natural materials such as wood and marbles. Lush green plants provide a pleasant and tranquil environment adding life to the space. 🌿⁠

🪴Design that connects us to nature is proven to inspire us, boost our productivity and even contribute to a stronger sense of well-being.  Now more than ever, it’s necessary to bring the outdoors in and create indoor environments – biophilic interiors, that reference nature in both obvious and subtle ways. 🌿

Biophilia – meaning Love of Nature 💚

🟢 Swipe left to see our selection of indoor plants, that we absolutely adore. In respective order:

1.Banana Plant: keep in mind the soil should never dry out. This is why it is recommended to water the plant – especially in summer – several times per week.

2.Monstera Deliciosa: Watering it regularly will ensure years of joy. It will do well in both indirect light or dark places. The more light, the faster it will grow. Direct sunlight is not good for the monstera deliciosa.

3.Rubber Plant: Rubber plants will tell you if they need more sunlight or water if they start to drop their lower leaves. You can keep your rubber plant near a window with a sheer curtain to give it just the right amount of sunlight. 

4.Snake Plant: They’re definitely not the soft, “touchy-feely” kind of plants but certainly have character and present quite the striking silhouette. In stronger natural light they’ll grow faster and slower in lower light. Snake plants don't need much water – just water whenever the soil is dry.

5.Fiddle Leaf Fig: The fiddle leaf fig makes a gorgeous, natural architectural statement in any room of the house. But it can be hard to keep alive. This plant is pretty easy to take care of and doesn’t need a lot of water. Make sure that the soil is evenly moist – and the rest will take care of itself and water it in small amounts. This plant thrives in sunlight. Position it in a bright place, but try and avoid – if possible – the harsh afternoon sun.

The aim was to create a playful yet calm escape in the middle of the vibrant Hong Kong city. Fully sensory interiors represent their inhabitant’s distinctive personalities for a couple with an electric love for colour 🦚

Rich blues evoke a calming effect in the space with formidable furniture objects and artworks creating tension to imbue the room with energy, soul and a plethora of conversation starters. 💙

The studio was commissioned to conceptually design a bespoke luxury private members club in the vibrant city of Shanghai, China. collaborated designing the Verdant Room 🦚

Design Direction: Curved lines and irregular shapes take solid colours to a new sinuous dimension. The design objective is a space that is sensual, evocative and powerful whilst projecting a comfortable and harmonious atmosphere. A space that maximises creative thought, conversation and inspiration.

Artwork transitions into wood panel and cabinetry inlay detailing ensuring the aesthetic is dynamic whilst maintaining balance. Colour is amplified across all fabrications. Exotic stone is used to accentuate texture. Poured resin floors bring high gloss colour that are highlight with subtle toned rugs.

We wanted the visitors to experience the illusion of a grand garden by using elements of landscape printed backlit panels, suspended and floor mounted hanging planted components, and private small garden areas. 🌿🌱☘️

The furniture was sponsored by showcasing their versatile outdoor furniture collection. Palissade outdoor furniture features a strong, graphic design that consists of simple steel tubes and slats. 🟢💚

LABCÔME Pop-up has a unique aesthetic that supports the brand identity and responds to millennials audience. The clean and minimal colour scheme and layout allow attention to the product,
creating an immersive experience 💙🌟🦄

We start our design exploration process by looking at multiple images and keywords that are inspired by a previous discovery session with the client 🗯🦄

For this space the brief was to create a design concept for ; to provide a transversal star-product experience, entertain & engage with the audience through different product discovery sessions and touch points.

We came up with the idea of a space that is inspired by the spherical shape of the microbiome while the colours are inspired by Clarifique skin care products. We wanted the visitor to experience a feminine and poetic laboratory by creating an immersive product journey, leaving the user feeling radiant, beautiful and empowered. 🌟💁‍♀️🦚💙

Porcelain floor tiles from provided an extra geometric layer bringing unique a character to the wet room.

The result of this flat renovation in Chiswick London was a 20% increase in property value and rental income.
