第N次會議，開始入直路！

一年一度，中秋聚會！

為左方便大家工作和生活上的安排，我哋一直都係喺大家嘅工餘時間開班。但近年發現大家的生活作息時間都有所轉變，為此，我地嘗試在平日嘅黃昏5點開班，試下可吾可以便利一啲要趕返屋企食飯嘅朋友。

早排小試牛刀，喺星期四下午5 點到6點半開左一班，冇諗過反應幾好，現在只剩餘幾個位。有見及此，我地再試下喺星期二，同樣時間，再開多一班黃昏班，希望可以讓多一些對詠春拳有興趣的朋友，多一個時間上的選擇。

It is now July, and is entering a new year of PVT.

After 14 years of operation, people come and go, and there are countless learners. Some people stayed for a short time, while others stayed with us until now. Some people leave as their personal development progresses, but they keep in touch or come back to learn. Of course, many of them still disappear. This is because everyone has different emotions towards Ving Tsun and the Koon (VT school). Fortunately, many students are willing to take care of their SiDai SiMui (juniors) when they are here. They will share with them with what they have learned and practice together. I would like to thank every student. Your presence has made the path of inheritance possible. And every student who gives extra time to help with the Koon's affairs. There is a different you at every stage. No matter how long you have been here, without you, "Pure Ving Tsun" (PVT) may not have the current development.

Speaking of development, a skill also needs to be constantly “updated”. To me, "updating" doesn't mean adding new elements. Instead, move toward "width" and "depth" of the concepts, drills, and explanations. The techniques I learned were also derived from traditional martial arts training models. That is to learn and master some skills from practice. What kind of SiHing and SiDai are there you to practice with, your skills will be similar to theirs.

When it comes to "width", I’ve made it clear what everyone should know, so learners don’t have to figure it out on their own. Therefore, there are more "basic skills" to learn, forming a broad base to support the skills to be learned in the future and to make those skills more effective.

When it comes to "depth", I divide movements and techniques into superficial and inner meanings. To put it simply, beginners only need to be able to perform the movements. But after learning for a while, you should have a deeper understanding. As one's abilities improve, one can perform at a deeper level.

The "update" also includes training modes, language terms, etc. In order for this skill to be passed down, learners must clearly understand what they are learning and what they can get. It's not easy.

What's more difficult is to spread it into different language systems. I speak Cantonese and it is already difficult to switch to English, and even more difficult to other languages. In the case of translation and re-translation, it is really not easy to ensure that the true meaning can be conveyed.

For this reason, we currently only have two overseas representatives (POR - Pvt Overseas Representative), one in Spain and one in the United States. And there is a Sifu in Italy who is learning PVT system at this moment. Once his understanding of the system can be confirmed in the future, it will become the third overseas representative. I hope to spread my understanding of Ving Tsun to other places of the world.

In today's society, many short videos of kung fu masters can be found on different online platforms. Coupled with "no time", some people will watch short videos on the Internet and study on their own, thinking that they have learned a kung fu, or simply learned "a drill". Some of them might even feel that (or think that) their own Ving Tsun is kindly similar to one lineage, and then they claimed they are of the lineage too. Like many other types of online courses, learning from a real person seems unnecessary. But is it possible to learn a kung fu or a skill by knowing how to read and read it? Practice with guidance, is it not necessary?

How much do you know about the entire system based on the short film alone? Does the content of the short film actually presuppose what you have learned? Meaning, do I need to achieve any ability before I can do it?

A system needs to adhere to a specific purpose, a specific goal, and rely on specific ideas to maintain it. Otherwise, learners have different interpretations of the same thing (such as skills) and find their own ways to practice, with unlimited creativity. I am not denying your right to speak/think, but we can discuss it together to know whether the combination of some actions is reasonable, or whether your understanding of a certain concept is correct. Only when the concept is correct can you practice well.

As we approach the 15th year, we hope to do more and take one more step towards inheritance.

踏入七月，又是一個年頭的轉換。

經營14年，人事，當中人來人往，學習者無數。有人作短暫停留，亦有人陪伴至今。有人隨着個人發展而離去，但會不時聯絡或回來進修，當然有許多還是銷聲匿跡的。這源於每個人對拳術、對拳館的情感都不同。慶幸的是，許多同學在學期間都願意照顧師弟妹們。不吝嗇自己所學的，與大家分享，一起研究，一起練習。我要多謝每一位同學，你們的出現，成就了傳承之路。還有每一位付出自己額外時間去幫忙館務的同學。每一個階段都有着不同的你，無論你在這裡待了多久，沒有你，「純。詠春」未必有現今的發展。

說到發展，一門功夫也需要不斷「更新」。在我來說，「更新」並不代表增加新元素。反而是要向闊度和深度而行。我所學的技術也是由傳統武術訓練模式而得出來的。即是從練習中去得知和掌握一些技巧。你遇上怎麼樣的師兄弟和你一起練習，你的技巧也會跟他們相似。

談闊度，我把大家應該要知的都明道出來，學習者不用再靠自己摸索。所以要學習的「基本功」便多了，構成一個很闊的底層，用以支持將來要學的技巧，要使那些技巧更能發揮出來。

談深度，我把動作、技巧都分了表面和內裡含意。簡單來說，初學者做得到動作的形態便可。但學了一段時間之後，就應該有更深的理解。亦隨着個人的能力提升，有再深一層次的發揮。

「更新」也包含了訓練模式、言語用詞等等。要使這一門功夫得以傳承下去，便要使學習者清楚明白自己在學什麼，能得到什麼。這並不容易。

更難的是要傳到不同的言語體系裏。我用的是廣東話，要轉到英文已經很難，更何況要去到其他語言。在翻譯再翻譯的情況下，要確保真正的意思能夠傳得到，真的不容易。

所以我們暫時只有兩個海外分會，分別在西班牙和美國。而意大利則有一位師傅正在學習純。詠春系統。日後得以確認他對系統的理解後，便會成為第三分會。希望能夠把我對詠春的理解傳揚開去至世界其他角落。

現今社會，在不同的網絡平台可以搜尋得到許多師傅的短片。加上「沒有時間」，有些人會在網絡上看看短片、自行研究，便認為自己已學會了一門功夫，或者簡單地學到了「一招半式」。又或者認為自己的風格跟某一門派很類似，便會說自己的功夫也是該門派的功夫。有如許多其他類型的網上課程，跟真人學習好像是不需要了。一門功夫、一門技藝是否懂得看書識字，便能學會？

試問單憑短片你又對整個系統有多了解？短片的內容，其實是否已經設定了你已學會些什麼東西做前提？意思是，是否需要達到什麼能力後才能去做呢？

一個系統需要堅守特定的宗旨、特定的目標，靠着特定的想法去維繫。否則，在同一件事情（例如技巧）上面，學習者各有各解讀，自行找方法練習，創意無限。我不是抹煞你們發言的權利，而是大家可以一起討論，從而知道一些動作的配搭是否合理，或者你對某概念的理解是否正確。只有概念正確，才能練得其所。

邁向15年，希望能再做多一點，為傳承走多一步。
