The CDC has dropped its requirement that air travelers must take a Covid-19 test before flying to the U.S. This is welcome news to cruise passengers disembarking their cruises in Europe and other destinations AS WELL AS FLIGHTS, and it applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated U.S. travelers. Non-U.S. travelers may also fly to the U.S. now without a Covid test but must be vaccinated.

I wanted to point out that the removal of this testing requirement means that U.S. travelers can now fly to and from the following popular vacation destinations without proof of vaccination or testing.

Aruba
Costa Rica
Curacao
Dominican Republic
Hawaii
Jamaica
Mexico
Puerto Rico
U.S. Virgin Islands

Note that entry requirements may differ for citizens of countries other than the U.S. and should be verified in advance of travel. Also, as mentioned above, while non-U.S. citizens flying to the U.S do not need to take a Covid-19 test before departure, they are still required to be fully vaccinated.

For those that might be interested, the NOTAMs (official communication used by flight crews/etc) for planning flights shows the runway will be closed until Monday night at 9:00pm local time. Here is a link where you can look for OFFICIAL word on the runway condition. Abundant Life Foundation’s library at Los Sueños Community, located in flowers bay, opened to the public yesterday.
The library is a place where people of all ages can gather to enjoy a good book, do school work, and participate in the many activities on our calendar such as arts and craft, reading groups, etc. It also have a computer lab which can be used to do researches and take online courses.

Bay Islands Tourism Bureau is communicating the following changes to authorized testing facilities made by the Bay Islands Health Department within the official document number Oficio No.018-JR-RSIC-2022 dated February 04, 2022.

EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 07, 2022, the following clinics are the ONLY FACILITIES AUTHORIZED TO ADMINISTER COVID TESTING.

The airlines have been notified by the Bay Islands Regional Health Department that those passengers providing test results from any other clinic MUST BE DENIED boarding their flight. If your flight is on February 07, 2022, OR ONWARD YOU MUST PROVIDE A TEST RESULT FROM A TESTING FACILITY LISTED ON THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT.
