Back in the 1980s, after years of making wine, two brothers Dario and Angelo decided to open a restaurant and chose a name that honors the wine-making tradition in Rovinj. The name Torkolo comes from an old istrian word for wine press you can find at our entrance.
Make sure you look for our famous wine press the next time you visit us! 🥰
