SPLIT FILM FESTIVAL

Nakon godine dana izostanka Split film festivala, u utorak 8.listopada s početkom u 20 sati u klubu Kocka (Ulica slobode 28) u sklopu Platformata bit će prikazana retrospektiva filmova osnivača festivala Branka Karabatića.

Vraća se Split film festival: Na Domu mladih će se prikazati filmovi Branka Karabatića Obuhvaća pregled najvažnijih, uključujući i kratke iz razdoblja 1973. - 1985.

U Prirodoslovnom muzeju u Beču prikuplja se, arhivira i proučava sve što se nalazi na zemlji i u svemiru i čega se ljudi mogu dočepati u ime evolucijskih istraživanja. Archiv der Zukunft (Arhiva budućnosti) bilježi estetsku privlačnost prirodoslovne zbirke i njezin radni proces, osvjetljavajući mamutski projekt očuvanja znanja i proizvodnje skriven iza imperijalnog pročelja zgrade.

Žudnja nije opis priče, ono je koncept.
To je film bez priče. To je slika pojma s ljudskom žudnjom kao simbolom. Koristi metaforu i simboliku kako bi prikazao pohlepnu i neopisivu želju ljudskih bića kroz neprekidnu pomutnju između duhovnog i materijalnog.
Od najveće je važnosti istražiti novu moć filmskih (slikovnih) jezika.

Posebnu nagradu festivala za izuzetan doprinos razvoju umjetnosti pokretnih slika 2023. dobiva medijski umjetnik Dalibor Martinis

The Special Festival Award for the outstanding contribution to the artistic development
of the moving image 2023 goes to the media artist Dalibor Martinis, Croatia.

Call for Entries of 28th Split Film Festival are opened!

Split Film Festival invites all moving image artists to submit their work for the 28th edition of the festival which will be held from 12st – 21th of October 2023.

Splitski filmski festival poziva sve umjetnike pokretnih slika da prijave svoje radove na 28. izdanje Festivala koje će se održati od 12. – 21. listopada 2023.

Day 8 of the Split Film Festival has ended! We had the honor of showing the films Lucifer and Killing The Eu**ch Khan at the Karaman Cinema, while the last part of student films was shown at the Kino klub Split.

Posljednja projekcija ovogodišnjeg Splitskog filmskog festivala prikazuje flm Abeda Abesta „Ubojstvo Eunuha Khana”.

Serijski ubojica terorizira grad, krv se slijeva u potocima. Smišlja planove u kojima žrtve ubijaju
žrtve.

Neki kritičari uspoređuju kinematografiju „Ubojstva Eunuha Khana” s kadrovima Jodorowskog i Kubricka.

Abed Abest karijeru započinje kao kazališni glumac i dramaturg, a kasnije se počinje baviti filmom. 2012.
piše i režira svoj prvi kratki film „I haven’t seen Hossein since the day before yesterday“. Napisao je scenarij i režirao srednjemetražni film „The Corner“. Prvi Abedov dugometražni film „Simulation“, za koji potpisuje scenarij i režiju, uvršten je u programe Berlinale Forum i TIFF 2017.„Ubojstvo eunuha Khana“ je Abedov drugi dugometražni film..............................................................
The last screening of this year's Split Film Festival shows " Killing the Eu**ch Khan" by Abed Abest.

The serial killer intends slaughter so much that the blood spills over the ditches of the city. To reach this target, he designs a plan in which victims kill victims.

Some critics compare the cinematography of "Killing the Eu**ch Khan" to the shots of Jodorowsky and Kubrick.

Abed Abest has been engaged in theatre as actor, and writer. He started his career as a writer and
director in his first short film, “I haven’t seen Hossein since the day before yesterday” (2012). He wrote and directed a Medium-length film: “The Corner” (2014). His debut feature film, as writer
and director, “Simulation” premiered at Berlinale Forum and TIFF in 2017.His second feature film is “Killing the eu**ch Khan”.

Sedmi dan Splitskog filmskog festivala je završio! Imali smo čast prikazati filmove Napad i Illyricvm u Kinu Karaman, dok se u Kino klubu Split prikazivao posljednji dio konkurencije kratkometražnih filmova.
