Today we have released FumeFX 6 for Cinema 4D featuring significant rendering and simulation advancements.

- New FumeFX Pyro Vorticity with Surface Breaker: Adds detailed pyroclastic flow effects to smoke simulations.

- Explosion Preprocess Options: Advanced cinematic explosion shading with Arnold renderer.

- Direct Pressure Addition: Enhance explosions and create dynamic fluid movements by adding pressure to simulation by using Simple Source or Geometry Source.

- Adaptive Grid Control: Separate control over grid expansion by velocity and pressure.

Hello,
Today we have released FumeFX 6.1.7 update. Here is a list of new features, improvements and bug fixes.

New Features and Improvements
- Load Grid node can now load separate velocity components from .vdb caches.
- Advection parameters added to the Solver node.
- Load Grid node added Adaptive Grid options so that grid can expand if user is simulating grid beyond loaded frames.
- Load Grid node add Y up checkbox.
- Load Grid node added out of range mode that allows users to keep last loaded cache in memory.
- Added auto populate button to the Load Grid node for vdb caches.

Fixes
- Simulation speed could drastically reduce depending on the file location. With this update, some scenes can simulate twice as fast as in previous versions, including FumeFX 5.
- Changing Custom Channels caching didn't restart simulation with memory caching enabled.
- Memory caching can crash with custom channels.
- NodeWorks .prt export didn't export particle colors properly.
- Rare crash within openVDB during cache exporting.
- tyFlow orientation was changing with particle scale. This bug was fixed in recent tyFlow update but we’ve also made changes to this update so that users with older version of tyFlow can still get proper particle orientation.

FumeFX 6.1.6 update is now available.

The most important change for this build is the Particle Import Node that now enable artists to import custom channels from both NodeWorks and TyFlow.
This latest feature introduces a new level of flexibility for artists, particularly in conjunction with TyFlow`s custom channels, when working with node-based FumeFX sources. FumeFX 6.1.5 update has been released today and new features include:

- The FFX Burn modifier has undergone a name change to FFX Vertex Test, bringing with it advanced features and performance enhancements. In addition to modifying the vertex color channel, it now has the ability to write to the vertex selection weights channel. New functionality also enables the use of particles and scene objects to adjust vertex channels based on proximity. Alongside its existing capabilities to access FumeFX fire/smoke/temperature channels, this revamped modifier allows for a whole new range of effects.

- Added Particle Skin modifier that supports NodeWorks particle system and groups.

- FFX Vertex Paint modifier becomes FFX Velocity Paint with added paint radius option.

FumeFX 6.1.2 update has been released today. FumeFX now features a convenient Arnold and VRay Volume Grid shader for simplified volume grid rendering. This setup enables the rendering of FumeFX .vdb caches using Arnold GPU or VRay GPU. The shader automatically configures the Volume Grid path, channel assignment, and synchronizes the Volume Grid cache path with any changes made to the FumeFX cache path. FumeFX 6.0.6 for 3ds max update has been released today.

New Features and Improvements
- .vdb caches loading and saving was updated to OpenVDB 10.0.1 (max 2020 - max 2024).

Fixes
- FumeFX was loading caches even when not needed which have caused viewport lag.

- Birth Surface didn’t set velocities along the surface normal in the case where custom direction was not used.

FumeFX 6.0.5 update solves many important issues that were resulting in incorrect and inconsistent NodeWorks simulations.
In this update we have added pins color coding according to the pin data type which can be enabled or disabled from the Customize Editor options. Output pins for nodes with multiple outputs are now sorted according to the pin data type.
This is also an important feature update with four completely new nodes: Voxel to Spline node that generates splines based on grid velocities, Spline Gen node that allows particle creation on NodeWorks splines as well as 3ds max shapes, Cross Prod and Dot prod nodes for faster handling of two common vector operations. In addition to new nodes, there were additions, changes and fixes to other nodes as well.

Today we have released 𝗙𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗙𝗫 𝟲.𝟬.𝟰 for 3ds max.
Two most important updates for this release are NodeWorks speed optimizations and a new 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝗱𝗲.
𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝗱𝗲 is similar to Particle Flow's Shape Control and it allows user to procedurally change scene object parameter(s) or their modifiers on per-particle basis and use the resulting object as a particle shape. With just a few mouse clicks artists can generate endless variations of particle shapes or even procedurally adjust shape LOD based on the camera distance.

FumeFX 6.0.3 for 3ds max released. In this third update, since the initial FumeFX 6 release in March 2023, we have added over 20 new features/improvements. New nodes include Text node that allows users to set custom text to the 3ds max Text shape, String node that allows combination of strings, Object Properties node to set hide/freeze/renderable/display as box properties to objects in the scene and Seed node to retrieve particle seed number. We have also updated FumeFX Simple source and Geom source that now have ability do add pressure to the simulation.

Today we have released FumeFX 6.0.2 for 3ds max®. One of the most important additions for this update is the Explosion Gen particle source node that greatly simplifies creation of procedural explosions with FumeFX. Realistic simulations require attractive and modern looking shading. For this update we have aded Explosion Preprocess options to the FumeFX rendering dialog that enable advanced shading of cinematic explosions.

March 15, 2023 - Sitni Sati releases FumeFX 6, the latest update of their popular fluid-dynamics plug-in for 3ds Max®.
Development of FumeFX 6 was an immensive task as Sitni Sati expanded FumeFX capabilities with NodeWorks, a node-based multiphysics solution that includes particles, rope, rigid body dynamics, cloth, soft body dynamics, inflatable softbody, voronoi fracture, flock simulation, character animation control, voxel grid manipulation, node based access to FumeFX simulation and sources and many other tools.

FumeFX 6.0 public beta10 has been released today.
There've been three months since the first FumeFX 6.0 beta release and in this short period of time we've released ten beta updates with plenty of new features.
In this jubilar release we've updated Voronoi Shatter with new functionality that gives artists greater freedom in creating fracture patterns.
We've developed two new nodes that can handle shape elements and allow elements extraction and merging.
Grid sources can now add pressure to the FumeFX simulation for all source types.
