Neutrals’ harmony:
In my childhood it was almost impossible to find sofas with light tone coloured upholstery. It was said that patches and dirt are much more visible on them. Today, due to advanced technology, upholstery can have stain and water repellent surface with varied fabric, so one can find their favourite touch with light tone colours easily.
I have had to find and replace the already old and torn leather upholstery on my own sofa recently and have chosen a light tone coloured fabric from an excellent-quality producer. So now I am testing quality at home, but at the same time my surprise was that in this year’s Salone in Milan we’ve seen almost all indoor and outdoor sofas with white or whitish colours! And they were beautiful! 😍
For those, who are not fan of whitish colours I can suggest soft earthy and pastell coloured sofas, furniture and decor, they have created amazing harmony together in the exhibition.
Hello again, Milan! ☺️
Front yard under decoration: the lower island is already full, the upper needs some perennial herbs. The hosepipes and the cover is coming next week, lights a little bit later.
A little update of a master bathroom - the faucet has arrived and has been built in
A little update of a kid’s bedroom - the toddler’s bed has been replaced by an Indian tent inspired bed
Life without keys 🙂 well, at least in the backyard, the entrance door is not that sophisticated yet, however, I know there are quite smart solutions for them as well :)
Imagine a dressing table under the mirror, without legs, fixed onto the wall, with one drawer under the top.
The table would be 130 cm long (the mirror is 120 cm wide) and 40 cm deep. There would be one washbowl on the left with a faucet. We would like a chair or stool to fit under the drawer so first we thought the top should be at 80 cm. But with that high we cannot connect the washbowl to the water pipe. So we should remodel the table and the height as well.
We already have the washbowl, the faucet, the draining and a design siphon, and the chair is also arriving soon.
I think the solution would be to put the top of the table on 75 cm but I’m alfraid we won’t have enough space for the drawer. There would be one long drawer so we do not want to deform the rectangle shape of the table with shorter drawer.
We are also thinking of what kind of material to use for the table.
The protoype of the new hand-made baskets had arrived and I could check whether it fits perfectly in their place or should be corrected a little.
I think it’s perfect and I also really like the colour. It feels like entering into a forest when I take a look at the new basket. 🙂
Well, the lining is still missing, I think it will make it even cozier. :)
Chosing the solid wood top of the table: a very natural colour produced from oak trees grown inland by a Hungarian-owned company, where they take care of outstanding design and high quality. ❤️ so unique and prestigue to find
(Well, this is a floor sample but the table can have the same colour and knots).
I’ve also been searching for dining tables with the size 90*220 cm and have found two. The first one is the Gazzda Fawn table from Vakumdesign, the second one is the Robus-T from Edelholz. The first one would have whitened-oak colour, while the second one would have the “capital black brushed” (deep brown). Which one do you prefer?
Textile and furniture refreshing is on:
-new linen curtains with nice strips
-new laminate decor with textile effect for the working corner
-new upholstery for the sofa and the benches
Left picture: old colour
Right picture: new colour (the skirting is still with the old colour but I hope we can repaint it today)
The colour is already the new on the wall but the skirting still has the old colour. Now you can see the difference. Which colour do you prefer? The old one or the new one?
Ready for repainting the tiny guest room. It’s a coincidence that this peach colour has just come out as the colour of the year by Pantone.
I do love it but somehow it did not fit here, so I’m trying 070F Family 60 from JUB.
Hi all! Happy new year! I have just found some very nice-looking laminated decor, they are my new favourites 🙂 The two of them have textile effect, the third one has wooden-effect. They are gorgeous, I think. :)
Merry Christmas to everyone!
I have been searching for some nice wooden chairs for a while. I do it all the time with different objects I decide to acquire and there is a feeling when I notice the one I wanna chose. This chair is a possible winner for my chair search, check it out here:

P.S.: It’s not an advertisement, I’m not their contracted distributor, I have just found this piece of furniture during search.
Do you recognize the artificial pine branch among the real ones?
I do think that articifial christmas trees can be amazing but I prefer having one that looks like real. :)
We’re planning to repaint a tiny guest room and are thinking about Stirabout and Ammonite from F&B. Which one do you prefer?
How do you like these pampas grass decor?
What do you think about this combination for a dressing table?
Basin: Sapho
Faucet: Grohe Atrio
Stool: Backenzahn stool
The new fence is almost ready :)
Garden storage is being furnished with IKEA BROR system. :)
Something’s being covered. :)
Finally, our chosen tower rack ladder is not wooden but black metal. There is already a lot of wooden surface in the bathroom so this goes better with them and the black cabinets.
However, in general I still prefer wooden tower rack ladders. :)
I’d searched a lot until I found the perfect decor for my front door. I’m so glad I finally have it.
I am so-so-so happy, I have finally found the stool that I have been searching for a long time. I had seen it in a presentation but forgot the name and didn’t know how to find it, no searching words have worked until now.
But finally it is here and I can show you the Backenzahn stool, a famous German design from e15. I would pair it in walnut colour with a ceramic sink from Sapho to a similaly walnut-coloured dressing table.
Love this combo so much! ❤️
Not now but in the future I would like to build green walls. I can imagine greenery as the cover of some parts of the facade. I have already picked the building but the reconstruction project has just begun to be planned and financing is not yet solved either.
The pics are from Pinterest.
This is my next entrance room wall project to make. The inspiration pic is from Pinterest. I’ve already found the perfect mirror on Maisons du monde and the side table will be a handcraft work.
Hi all!
My favourite outdoor tiles have arrived and hopefully will be laid onto the brickstone walls in early September. Can’t wait to see them done! :)
