WHEN CAN WE DELIVER OUR BEST?
DevZone - At every stage of the project
Ideal project: defined roles and processes
For DevZone, the ideal project is when we are no longer just talking about vision. It can even be the design phase of the project, where the project has concrete processes and defined roles. This is similar to the situation when, during the construction of a house, it becomes clear that deadlines cannot be met with existing resources and additional specialists are needed to meet the deadlines. This is exactly how DevZone's excellent developers join our partners' projects! Our developers are ready to join the work quickly and efficiently, ensuring successful project completion.
Initial phases: openness to all possibilities
Don't worry if your project is still in its early stages! DevZone is always ready to help, even during the preparation phase. We also have trusted partners in all areas that we are not actively involved in ourselves, so we can offer you excellent experts in UX/UI design, for example. Early collaboration allows you to get your projects off to the best possible start, while we provide the resources and expertise you need to succeed.
Contact us today to discuss how we can help your project from inception to successful completion!

WHAT IS AN NDA AND WHY IS IT NEEDED?
An NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement), also known as a confidentiality agreement, is a fundamental legal document in business relationships that guarantees the confidentiality of information. It is signed by business partners to protect sensitive information shared, especially when developing new products or discussing critical business information. A confidentiality agreement is key to ensuring that parties can share information freely without fear of it being leaked.
The NDA we use also includes a Non-Solicitation Agreement, which prevents the signatories from recruiting or employing each other's employees for a specified period of time. This section ensures that one party does not exploit the other party's labour resources or clients for its own benefit. It protects companies from potential losses.
Signing an NDA with DevZone is one of the first steps in the collaboration. It is important to understand that although signing an NDA does not commit you to starting a project, it is essential for further cooperation. It should not be feared, as it protects the interests of both parties. While we are flexible in modifying parts of the document, there are basic cornerstones that we maintain to guarantee business ethics and the integrity of the process.
The signed NDA provides legal protection for both parties, allowing them to communicate openly without fear of unauthorised use of information.
So there is nothing to fear from the NDA, signing it is an integral part of our process. It is a protective tool that facilitates business collaboration. The DevZone team is committed to building ethical and trusting relationships with all partners.
If these values are important to you and you want maximum security for your software development project, let's talk!

TECHNOLOGY IN SPORT
Where play meets innovation
We recently spoke to a representative of a valued partner about different sports. We found out that technology is changing sports, from skateboarding to swimming. Sensors built into hockey pucks, for example, track the position of the players and the puck, improving the accuracy of game evaluation. In football, a video-assisted refereeing (VAR) system helps referees to review disputed situations more accurately. In swimming, precise timing systems ensure that all competitors' times are accurately recorded, while in basketball, ShotTracker sensors analyse every shot and player movement in real time.
Skategrounds is a breakthrough in skateboarding. This technology is an innovative solution for skateboarding that includes hardware with sensors that can instantly detect tricks using artificial intelligence. It also offers location-based games in real-time environments in real skate parks. The hardware itself is extremely durable, made of space-age aluminium and equipped with a 9-axis motion sensor.
At DevZone, we are enthusiastic about these technological advances and are keen to participate in similar projects. If you have a project or idea, or simply love technological innovation, let's chat!

AI AND CLIMATE CHANGE
When it comes to artificial intelligence (AI), most of the time I have conversations with my colleagues about amazing advances and innovations that are truly revolutionising technology. But recently, the heatwaves have highlighted other issues related to the energy needs behind AI and its environmental impact.
Running AI systems is a significant energy-intensive activity, equivalent to the monthly consumption of an average US household. Looking at the issue from another angle, a typical AI training process can result in more than 284 tonnes of carbon emissions, equivalent to the annual emissions of approximately fifty cars. For this reason, a number of improvements are being made to improve energy efficiency, such as power capping, which can reduce energy consumption without significantly affecting performance. Some actors, such as Northeastern University, are developing special optimization software to make systems less harmful to the environment.
With the rapid growth of the AI industry, it is important to keep in mind the challenges that this brings, especially in the context of climate change. Therefore, at DevZone, we look forward to seeing what changes will take place over the coming summers, both in terms of climate and AI technology development. We are all part of this dynamically changing world and are committed to understanding and managing the environmental impact of our technological advances.

GLOBAL SHUTDOWN
The recent CrowdStrike incident caused a massive global IT outage affecting numerous businesses and sectors worldwide. It was triggered by an update from CrowdStrike that malfunctioned, impacting millions of devices globally and causing disruptions across various services, including air transport, healthcare, and banking sectors.
The outage was not a result of any cyberattack but was due to a problematic update that locked many systems into a continuous error state, widely referred to as the "blue screen of death." Both CrowdStrike and Microsoft worked rapidly to deploy fixes to mitigate the issues, focusing on restoring systems and rerouting traffic to reduce impacts.
This event serves as a crucial reminder of the vulnerabilities inherent in centralized global software solutions and the importance of robust security practices in the tech industry. At DevZone, we closely monitor these developments to enhance our systems and ensure the security and efficiency of the solutions we develop. This incident underscores our commitment to safeguarding our operations against such disruptions, emphasizing the importance of resilience and preparedness in our work and the services we provide to our partners.

FOCUS ON THE BACKEND AND DEVOPS
From innovation to profitability
Talking to our partners, it is clear that the world of software development has changed in recent years. Whereas in the past, the buzzwords for most projects were "innovation" and "fancy" - where everyone was striving to build a new Uber or similar eye-catching app - the focus has now shifted significantly.
Nowadays, the primary goal in development is profitability and return on investment. This trend means that the focus has shifted to backend development and DevOps. In this area, the emphasis is on creating stable, reliable and efficient solutions that can support business logic and increase revenue for businesses.
Well-designed backend systems can handle high traffic, ensure continuous availability, and scale quickly according to demand. In addition, the focus on DevOps - which emphasizes automation, continuous integration and delivery, and rapid development based on feedback - enables companies to respond more quickly to market changes and manage resources more efficiently.
A backend and DevOps-focused approach is not just a technological leap forward, but also a strategic transformation that enables businesses to better exploit the opportunities offered by modern technology. We are excited to see what new applications and solutions the future brings in the world of backend and DevOps.
Change is exciting and the DevZone team is excited to see how technology trends evolve in the coming years. It has always been important to us to provide reliable and efficient solutions tailored to our partners' needs, and this will be no different in the future.

ASYNCHRONOUS VS SYNCHRONOUS
As technology evolves, so do communication habits between different generations. At DevZone, we place great emphasis on understanding and respecting these differences. While more experienced workers, such as Generation X and Y, often prefer instant forms of communication, such as face-to-face meetings or phone conversations, younger workers, such as millennials and Generation Z, more often opt for asynchronous channels, such as email or various messaging platforms. Understanding this is key to creating a work environment where everyone can perform at their best.
We know that people perform better when they don't feel under constant pressure, and this is particularly important when it comes to forms of communication. At DevZone, we don't consider any one attitude to be better or worse; rather, we emphasise and respect individual differences, enabling everyone to communicate and work in the way that suits them best.
Following this philosophy, we are also flexible in our recruitment process. Live coding tests, for example, are never mandatory; we give every candidate the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a way that suits them best, whether it's a solo, home project or a live coding assignment. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and that the working environment is truly supportive and inspiring for everyone.
We consider the well-being and comfort of our team in every decision we make. Our aim is to create a workplace culture where everyone feels valued and where communication is not a stressor but a means to work effectively and build team spirit. We look forward to working together on more exciting projects in the future and shaping the future of technology together.

THE EVOLUTION OF AI
We talk and write a lot about artificial intelligence. But how has technology evolved over the past decades? Today we present a brief summary.
The evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) has reached significant milestones over the decades. Starting with the Dartmouth Conference in 1956, where the term "artificial intelligence" was first mentioned, AI research has since then undergone exponential development. Programmes developed in the 1950s and 60s, such as algorithms capable of playing chess and systems that solved logic problems, paved the way for modern AI technologies. Following the so-called "AI winter", when research declined, neural networks and deep learning have revived AI research in the 21st century.
Today, AI applications are widespread in all segments of industry, from self-driving cars to personalised marketing, disease diagnostics and financial services. These systems can recognise speech, interpret natural language, recognise images and make complex decisions.
As AI continues to evolve, the DevZone team is ready to put these technological advances into practice, creating new opportunities not only in software development, but also in business development. Harnessing the benefits of AI will not only increase our business success, but also enhance customer satisfaction through more efficient and personalized services.

IMPROVING OUR SERVICE
Over the past weeks, my colleagues and I have focused on processing customer feedback more efficiently. Measuring customer satisfaction has always been a priority for us. In the future, we will collect data through an improved and streamlined process, which aims to provide an accurate and comprehensive picture of feedback.
While the process is designed to improve the quality of our service, we also aim to minimise the burden on our partners. We don't ask too many people too many questions. The regularity of the surveys and the number of questions are also well planned, so that we do not put unnecessary strain on partner relationships. We aim to get a long-term view of our performance, not just a snapshot, through regular feedback.
The data collected is analysed on an ongoing basis and the results are used to further refine our services. This not only ensures the complete satisfaction of our existing partners, but also makes DevZone more attractive to new customers.
As a result of all these efforts, DevZone continuously strives to serve its clients to a high standard, in line with market needs, while dynamically evolving and adapting to changing circumstances. Keeping pace with technological advances and customer expectations, DevZone is ready to provide effective solutions to the challenges of the future.

WE ALSO STARTED SOMEWHERE
We come to you today with a completely unusual post. We're committed to continuous professional development, so we regularly look at opportunities for training - both for our developers and our back office staff.
It was during one of these "training search" sessions that I came across this opportunity: https://freeudemy.shahtechs.com/javascript-10-projects-in-10-days-course-for-beginners-2/
During the course, participants will implement a different project each day for 10 days, using the HTML, CSS and JavaScript trio. This not only provides theoretical knowledge but also develops the skills of the course participants in real life. Because our experienced developers started somewhere.
Everyone's learning path is different, but there are universal milestones that are essential to reach in order to become a senior developer after investing a lot of time and energy.
It's learning and development that allows our colleagues to get involved in and create cool projects - healthcare, fintech, music and hospitality, to name a few.
This type of training is a great fit with DevZone's philosophy, as we are constantly looking for new ways to support technological development and the development of different skills. In our activities, we pay particular attention to providing our team members with knowledge that is in line with the latest market needs.
Join us and discover how you can use the latest web development techniques or even AI in your daily work.

AI FOR THE GREEN WAVES
The concept of the green wave, which provides almost uninterrupted passage through busy roads, is becoming a reality around the world thanks to the development of AI. New platforms driven by artificial intelligence are analysing data from cars and map applications to guide traffic signals more efficiently, reducing congestion and improving traffic flow.
These AI models will help optimise traffic light timing, which is particularly important during rush hours when poorly timed traffic lights can quickly lead to traffic jams. Engineers can enter changes into the system in a matter of minutes, without having to review their entire traffic system. This is possible because they use vehicle data, reducing the need for lengthy traffic studies.
For example, the Green Light project developed by Alphabet is already helping to reduce congestion in 16 cities, including Abu Dhabi, Seattle and Hamburg, by up to 30%. In addition, by reducing the time spent waiting at traffic lights, cities can also significantly reduce pollution, as it is the starting and stopping of vehicles that produces most emissions.
The DevZone team is excited about these developments and we look forward to seeing how these technologies will transform urban life in the future. Technological advances and their effective application are essential to creating more liveable, sustainable cities.
