Chef Bernard, a dynamic and enthusiastic character, is the founder of Little Singapore, a Bali-based restaurant which is the melting pot of his inextinguishable passion for food — especially that of his Singaporean heritage. Chef Bernard opened Little Singapore in 2016, after an impressive (and varied!) career that has included: a lucrative lighting business, designing for high-profile celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, David Foster, and Steve Blair—the American lighting specialist to artists such as Madonna and Dream Theater. He also designed lighting concepts for famous nightclubs in Singapore like “Zouk” while also performing as a DJ in many establishments in his hometown. With his own love for cooking and knowing the joy food brings to others, he opened Little Singapore by Chef Bernard Chew with an on-going mission to serve real Singaporean cuisine in Bali. Chef Bernard emphasises that each dish is authentically Singaporean and every bite will remind the diners of the vibrant food scene in Singapore.

“The Crab” choices include a few options, including the classic Chilli Crab, a Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab , The Black Pepper Crab and The Caramlised Carb This huge, saucy dish invites you to get your hands dirty and enjoy crab the way it should be eaten! The dish is only cooked with the glorious Papua Crab, known for its size and flavour. The Singaporean Chilli Crab require a day in advance to prepare, hence be sure to book in advance. Our Story

Little Singapore by Chef Bernard is the first of its kind and newest Singaporean Restaurant in Indonesia, with authentic specialty Crab and Seafood dishes for everyone to enjoy. A semi fine-dining upmarket restaurant, Little Singapore has an Asian fusion menu that includes a unique yet traditional take on Singaporean favorites known worldwide.

With another outlet planning to open in Ubud and Uluwatu, Little Singapore by Chef Bernard is expected to take over the Singaporean restaurant market in Indonesia and beyond, making a mark in the restaurant industry in Asia.

Little Singapore by Chef Bernard prides itself with its specialty Soft Shell Crab dishes and the Singapore Famous Authentic Chili Crab that uses crabs from Papua, famously known for its size and flavor. The Laksa dishes are also staple favorites, and Asian burgers are also available for a more western palate.

Dishes are generously served for sharing of 2-4 people, with reasonable prices and bursting with flavors. Boasting of a well-known chef behind this international brand, Chef Bernard is a Singaporean-native who describes his food as “generous, delicious, and authentically Singaporean.” Each dish is all made with natural flavors, without the use of Salt or MSG for cooking.

With a focus not only on delicious, all-natural food, the aesthetics of the restaurant also plays an integral part in the full dining experience. Equipped with a seating capacity of 38, the place is also decorated with bright neon colors, warm lights, and a jazz music background. Live music is available on weekends, with the restaurant equipped with a full list of wine from its own built-in bar, a swimming pool, and an al-fresco dining area for private events or for a more romantic atmosphere. Diners can Eat, Wine, Swim and Listen to Music all in one place, and is also available for bookings of parties and private functions.

Little Singapore by Chef Bernard is designed and conceptualized by the famous Chef Bernard Chew. Glasswares are all hand-picked from Jenggala, and walls are painted and colored by the chef himself. The menu was well-curated and put together by the chef with his team, assuring that every aspect of his brand is executed with passion and quality in mind.

Without having to leave Bali, people are invited to travel to Singapore through its rich cuisine found in Little Singapore by Chef Bernard.
