Contrary to the questions and quotes we have received in the restaurant in the last few days Jim Sheppard (Sheppy) is alive and well. Don’t know why people make statements saying he has passed away but I’d just like to set the record straight for all ours and Jo n Jim’s customers. He is alive and well soaking up the beautiful sunshine in Collie (ha ha ha) hail Jim long live the king. Love to you all.

Today we say Thankyou to all our fallen and returned diggers. Such brave soldiers who put their lives on the line for their country. Today it’s happy hour all day at Sheppy’s to say Thankyou.

Where did the years go. 40 years ago today I married this beautiful lady. We’ve been through a lot together. We have 3 fantastic sons and 6 wonderful grand children. We have supported each other in good and tough times and I wouldn’t change a thing. I love you so much Cathie Lipson and I’m hopeful we have many years to come. I feel very blessed to have had and still have you in my life.

The bithday girl got spoilt by our amazing Sheppy’s family. Thank you guys.

Tomorrow March 11th is Nyepi day in Bali. A day of silence, a day of reflection and respect. We are closed today and tomorrow to allow our Sheppy’s family 2 and a 1/2 days off to spend time with their families in their villages. Cathie and I place great importance on this period for our staff. I have recently posted for everyone the reasons for Nyepi and the rules for Nyepi day. Please if you are in Bali be respectful of this highly important day in Balinese culture. We will re open on Tuesday at 11am. Selemat Nyepi to all of our staff and Balinese friends.

Sheppys are long time sponsors of The South Coast Buccaneers who are entering teams (Over 35s, 45s & 55s) in the Bali AFL 9’s, to be played over the June Long Weekend. There should be some cheap flight deals the next few weeks so get on board. Family friendly functions, with some great events planned this year - Buccaneers Golf Day, State of Origin, Visit to the Orphanage we sponsor, Club Gathering and Jumpers presented to new Buccaneers, the football, massive plans for our Presentation Night, and our World Famous Tour de Bintang Mad Monday.
