Our recent collaboration was with , the famous global denim brand! 👖
How come? It is no secret that ESMOD Jakarta has strong connections within the industry.

As part of this project, our 4th-semester students reworked and upcycled Levi’s products collected from the “Recycle Your Jeans” Levi’s program.

The outcome was 19 reworked denim pants, each with authentic and diverse themes, highlighting the students’ creativity and innovation in fashion.

This display was at Kota Kasablanka Mall from September 13th to October 6th, 2024, in front of the Levi’s store.

On Friday, 27th September 2024, we had the opportunity to visit the amazing designs showcased by the Indonesian Fashion Designer Council (IFDC) at Senayan City during the Exhibition and IFDC Show.

The IFDC Show opened with the induction of new members, including Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan and two ESMOD Jakarta alumni, Ria Miranda and Adeline Ester. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the new members! 🤩

From the 24 amazing IFDC designers, 9 of them are ESMOD alumni, including Adeline Ester, Danny Satriadi, Eridani, Hian Tjen, Mel Ahyar, Priyo Oktaviano, Rama Dauhan, Ria Miranda, and Yogi Pratama. 🙌🏻

All of the IFDC designers always create impressive designs! We are happy to have this good relation and to continue this connection between education and fashion industry! ✨

ESMOD Jakarta had the opportunity to visit Gaya (Lagi) 2024 by IFDC, accompanied by IFDC designers including Ms. Mel Ahyar, Ms. Carma Nita, Ms. Era Soekamto, Mr. Yogie Pratama and Mr. Andreas Odang.

Focused on sustainability, the event highlighted the importance of being eco-conscious and encouraging innovation in creativity. This aligns with what we learn at ESMOD Jakarta, where we practice sustainability in our curriculum.

Sabila Mahpud, a Fashion Design student at Politeknik Kreatif Indonesia (ESMOD Jakarta), had the opportunity to intern at Cita Tenun Indonesia (CTI). During her internship, Sabila was directly involved in preparing CTI’s latest ready-to-wear collection, “Les Capsules”. She contributed to CTI events and provided recommendations for brands to collaborate with CTI. She helped create a database of handwoven fabrics made by artisans from various regions, trained by CTI’s team and fashion designers across Indonesia.

She also took part in both CTI events Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of the Culture x Zeitgeist event, contributing to design, styling, and sharing ideas in meetings. Through this internship, she gained real, hands-on experience that will be invaluable as she steps into the professional world. Not just that, her exceptional skills and dedication led to her being invited back to style around 17 looks for the Puspa Wastra event at Plataran Puncak. What an interesting experience! ✨
