South East is doing an insane deal, only 200k for free flow on beer throughout the event and let me tell you, the beer from their own brewery is a-mazing! 🎉

Wow, it was just June 2023 we were cooking in our kitchen sending out 20 chicken rotis to friends and the odd customer. What a year that was.

Now we are proud to announce our 1st official event hosting a event on the 13th March. It’s Buy One Get One Free on all cocktails all night. It’s going to be mad.

We open daily from 4pm until 10pm during our soft launch month.

Only the freshest ingredients go into our Grenadian Jerk Marinade. The main difference in Grenadian vs Jamaican jerk is the spices like nutmeg, cinnamon heat profile. Either way, jerk is the most complex method of barbecuing in the world.

Spice Isle Bali’s Grenadian 🇬🇩 Jerk Chicken. Marinated for 48 hours in our flavor brine then another 48 hours in our Grenadian Jerk Marinade and then smoked in our drum smoker for 7 hours. It’s not just chicken but a flavor journey to the island paradise.

We will be serving 50 portions of this for free and our rum punch to wash it down when we soft launch this Sunday 18th February at our 1st home in Seminyak. We have less than 20 spaces left so either tag the people you want to bring along or dm us the details and what time you want to come.

We asked, you spoke and we listened. We will be designing a mural fitting of our Grenadian roots and culture very similar to this. We want to tell a story on our wall. You guys are amazing and we are so lucky to have you as our supporters or as we like to call you ‘Spicers’, we have more designs to come and as we built our home your input and feedback is welcomed and appreciated. My mum had me (Kimron) at 18. The island had just been invaded by America, been through a revolution and my dad was absent. So she struggled to raise me by herself, saved my life twice though and almost watched me die once. Life was not easy for us. I still can see it now, no tears, she just got on with it, no excuses. She married a British man when I was 5, had my little brother and left us with our blind Grandmother and 18 year old aunty so she could work in Canada with her new husband and try to make a new life for us. That didn’t work out so they moved to London and when I was 7, sent for me to join them. There we lived in a one bedroom bed and breakfast before we luckily got housed. Even though we were poor, she always had a smile on her face, would never allow me to forget my roots, drilled in me the importance of being a man one day, showed me how to hand wash, sew, cook, clean so I would never depend on a women. My mother, a true gangster. I lost my way though around 11 years old (another story, one I shared on my YouTube). So like the fresh Prince, I was sent back to Grenada, lived with my blind Grandmother again, who taught me about girls, brought me my first condoms and showed me how to cook without relying on my sight, fine tuning my taste buds, sense of smell and creativity. I eventually moved on a few more times where I lived with a military chef, a crab back chef named Jeff who had a Lisp and who would walk like he always was late to be somewhere and my older cousin, all whom taught me how to cook. 16, I came back to London and everything changed for me. I found out my mum was fighting cancer, she had already beat it twice, so I began changing my life around. That’s my mother people. 🙌🏾. She lost her fight in 2009 age 44 and since then I’ve been trying to honor her handwork, sacrifice and trust in me to continue her legacy, spread joy to others and enjoy this brief existence called life. Spice Isle is one of those and here’s to you Deverine Agnes Gilbert, Doreen Gilbert Gurtrude and the countless others. Though you we shine. Merry Xmas whereever you on. Enjoy now.
