Nyepi (aka Day of Silence) is coming and we want to inform you that our restaurant will be closed from 4 PM Tuesday (March 21st) till 8AM Thursday (March 23rd)

Be sure you have enough food as long as nobody is allowed to leave there houses for Nyepi.

You can also preorder some frozen food from us 🤗🤗

WHAT IS NYEPI?

Nyepi is Balinese public holiday also known as the day of silence.

Nyepi is a day for self-reflection and anything that might interfere with that purpose is restricted.

The main restrictions are:

➖no lighting fires (and lights must be kept low);
➖no working;
➖no entertainment or pleasure;
➖no traveling;
➖and, for some, no talking or eating at all. 🙊

This day the usually busy streets of Bali fall silent and even though Nyepi is a Hindu festival, non-Hindu residents of Bali also observe the day of silence. All the shops, restaurants and spa centres will be closed.
Tourists are free to do what they want inside their hotels but nobody is permitted onto the beaches or streets.
🛫The airport in Bali will also be closed for Nyepi and telecommunications companies even switch off internet services for a 24 hour period.

The date of Nyepi changes each year according to the Balinese calendar
🕑This year, Nyepi falls on Wednesday March 22nd, beginning at 6am and finishing 24 hours later at 6am on March 23rd.

The day following Nyepi is a celebration of New Year.

Our restaurant will be also closed for the day, but you can preorder frozen food 🤗
