𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐇 🌱 Reflection is important. Although we can easily get stuck in the past or future, checking in every now and again can be beneficial. Reflection is important. Althought we can easily get stuck in the past or future, checking in every now and again can be beneficial. Celebrating the small wins is great as we can be so self-critical and tough on ourselves. When you look back, you will be surprised at how far you've come. I find journaling to be a great exercise to monitor your growth. If you don't already journal, it's never too late to begin. If you'd like some writing inspiration, you can view the journal prompts I posted on my story today. #growth #positiveaffimations #journalprompts #betterperson #selflove

Back in June, I moved to Bali. A lot of the other travelers here have strong opinions that are sometimes very different to my own. This hugely tested my patience. I would get so frustrated at some of the statements I would hear others say, but I realised that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. As long as someone isn't causing me or others harm, it really doesn't matter. Now, I'm able to befriend others with opposing beliefs. How? Boundaries. Setting boundaries is imperative if you want to avoid conflict in today's overly opinionated society. Be it with your new friends, your old ones, your family or gym buddies - set boundaries. If there's a topic being discussed which you don't feel like entertaining, simply walk away. Don't feel like you have to change your beliefs to impress others. You're entitled to feel how you do. If you can discuss a topic with another calm individual with an opposing belief, that too can be great. You can both learn from each other. But if you hear someone saying the words "should" "can't" or cursing, it's better to avoid the topic. Learning how to be calm before responding to situations has changed my life for the better. Next time someone irks you, do not feel the need to respond right away. We live in a society where we think we have to respond to emails, messages or calls as soon as possible but you don't. Take some space, breathe, reflect, and when you are calm, then respond. When you're calm, you may see the other person's side differently. You are free to focus on the beauties around you. 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 ✨ Throughout our lives, we all have run-ins with traumatic events. These events can shape us. For the better or worse. Whether it's a death, heartbreak, accident, or a bout of bad luck, I've found it grounding to look at every event in life as a blessing or a lesson. Humans are incredible. We spend our lives learning, setting ourselves up with how to face encounters the next time we experience an event. Sometimes we have events in our life that make us question absolutely everything. Who we are as a person. What life means to us. Who is there for us in life. We can either take this experience and learn and grow from it. Or we can hold a grudge and feel bitterness and resentment towards the world. We get to choose! Life knocks everyone down at some point. But it's not about how many times we get knocked down - it's how many times we get up and keep going that matters. Keep growing and loving ✨ #healing #selflove #positiveaffirmation

"Be gentle with yourself, learn to love yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude toward ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others." Wilfred Peterson

𝐒𝐀𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 😿 The truth is, we all have our down days. Although some of us have this idea instilled into us that to be “perfect” you must always be happy...or at least seem like you are. You must be strong and never let your guard down. And I think social media can push that ideal even further. We post smiling photos of us doing courageous things as we watch the likes roll in, sometimes more concerned about the numbers on the screen instead of enjoying the present moment. A slave to our phones one might even say. Last week, I felt down. I chose to limit myself from my phone knowing, from experience, that it would only make me feel worse. In case you needed it, this is a reminder: It’s not weak to fall. It’s okay to get sad every now and again. If anything, it’s healthy. Feel your feelings. Understand them. Become acquainted with them. That’s how you’ll work through your feelings. If you do feel sad, try putting your phone away. Be conscious of what content you’re consuming. Because we are sensitive beings. What we consume affects us, on the conscious or subconscious level. Instead try and replace your time with human connection, or even puppy cuddles. Count your blessings. What are you grateful for? “I’m grateful to be alive” Keep growing and loving ✨ @balancewithdanielle

Sampoorna Hum — संपूर्ण हूँ (I am complete) I am a manifestation of the divine. I am whole in my being. I do not seek external elements, materialistic possessions or other people to complete me. I am complete as I am and happy with what I have. I accept myself. I accept others. I accept the world. I accept my reality. Sampoorna Hum Keep growing & loving ✨ @balancewithdanielle

The guru gaitri mantra is A great mantra to work with when you are encountering impatience, intolerance and frustration. It consists of eight words (sounds) that resonate the qualities of the Divine and is part of a beautiful lyrical poem by Guru Gobind Singh. ɢᴏʙɪɴᴅᴀʏ - ꜱᴜꜱᴛᴀɪɴᴇʀ ᴍᴜᴋᴀɴᴅᴀʏ - ʟɪʙᴇʀᴀᴛᴏʀ ᴜᴅᴀᴀʀᴀʏ - ᴇɴʟɪɢʜᴛᴇɴᴇʀ ᴀᴀᴘᴀʀᴀʏ - ɪɴꜰɪɴɪᴛᴇ ʜᴀʀɪᴀɴɢ - ᴅᴇꜱᴛʀᴏʏᴇʀ ᴋᴀʀɪᴀɴɢ - ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴏʀ ɴɪʀɴᴀᴀᴍᴀʏ - ɴᴀᴍᴇʟᴇꜱꜱ ᴀᴋᴀᴀᴍᴀʏ - ᴅᴇꜱɪʀᴇʟᴇꜱꜱ When in need of compassion, tolerance and patience this is your mantra! It cleanses the subconscious mind and balances the hemispheres of the brain. It empowers you with the capacity to break through deep-seated blocks. How? Don't give this to your mind, but chant with devotion, know that you are invoking these Divine qualities that will elevate you! Keep growing and loving ✨ @balancewithdanielle

“Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha” Om Tara Tuttare Ture Soha means “I prostrate to the Liberator, Mother of all the Victorious Ones.” Mother Tara liberates living beings from samsara, from true suffering, or problems. The Tara mantra is used to push through physical, emotional, and mental blockages, and even blockages in relationships. This mantra requires a resignation to let go of a particular outcome you may be hanging on to, as this often promotes unhappiness and frustration when you don’t get your way. When chanting this mantra, think about letting go, and all of your negative energy will come back to you as positive energy. Use It When: you’re gripping too tightly to the things you just need to let go of. I hope you had an insightful week Keep growing & loving ✨ @balancewithdanielle

“Time doesn’t heal emotional pain, you need to learn how to let go.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart How many times have you been told, time will only heal the wound? Anyone? I think time contributes to healing but I also think going through the pain and not over it. If you are hurting and cannot let go, how are you healing? What are you doing to help yourself heal? Are you dealing with it head on or are you suppressing it. Sometimes we distract ourselves by busying ourselves with everything and anything because we’re afraid to be alone with our thoughts. I know so many are hesitant to meditate for example because they don’t want to sit in silence with their monkey brains. In my yoga teacher training we meditate for 3 hours each morning and the realisations I’ve had from just tuning in have been monumental. I am not saying you must meditate for that long to see benefits..5,15,20 minutes will help. If you are hurting, connect with yourself. You may find the answers to your path of healing. And even if you don’t, your heart rate will decrease and you’ll be gifting your mind a break. Keep growing and loving ✨ @balancewithdanielle

𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 🪞 Have you ever scrolled on your instagram feed and judged or resented somebody? I want you to take a moment to think about one of these times. Explore deeper why something may have brought up this feeling of resentment. Were you jealous? Were you judging? Were you just annoyed about their behaviour? Why? Go further questioning the reason behind your feeling. The more layers we unpeel, we can discover that the case is usually nothing to do with the other person and all to do with ourselves. Something to remember is that you are your own person. Everyone is free to make their own mistakes. You judging or resenting somebody isn’t going to change them for the better. Although it can be hard watching others fall sometimes, everyone needs to learn their own lessons. What you give out you get back. If you continue to give out this negative energy, the truth is you’re not feel very good about yourself. Next time you feel resentment, stop what you’re doing and question WHY.

Om Namah Shivaya mantra is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most powerful mantras in Hinduism. Repeating this mantra over and over again leads to a transcendental mode or a state of pure concentration. The meaning: Om – The vibration that represents the creation of the universe. Namah – It means to bow or show adoration. Shivaya – It means the inner self. There is nothing more superior to the universal consciousness and again, this powerful mantra acknowledges that as a collective pool, everything as one and hence bowing to the inner self means accepting it as a part of the collective consciousness. 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪, 𝕁𝕦𝕟𝕖 𝟙𝟜𝕥𝕙, 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟙 𝕊𝕖𝕝𝕗-𝔻𝕚𝕤𝕔𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕪 🪞 From the amount of time we’ve all spent alone in this pandemic, a lot of us have been going inwards. However my journey to self-discovery actually happened just before this. Quite literally discovering my inner self has not been the easiest. It’s brought up a lot of sh*t I didn’t even realise I was carrying around with me. 🧳 I understand myself on a whole different level. I can sit back and empathise with past Danielle rather than berate her for her mishaps in the past. I can objectively see why I acted the way I did. When I first began my journey, I was angry with my younger self - for treating myself so badly, not always treating others with respect and accepting others negative behaviour towards me. But I look at it all differently now. I’m so incredibly grateful for all the good and the bad. The lessons I’ve learned from any pain and the blessings I’ve been so honoured to receive. ☯️ I know this post may be a little vague but if you are on this journey and you feel different, or are punishing yourself for past actions. Give yourself a little love. Be proud of your growth. Be kid to yourself as you go through this. Learn to appreciate both the bad and the good. We can’t have good without the bad. When we view our trauma as a method of learning, things are brighter. We, as humans, learn from behaviour. We’ll continually make mistakes - learn from your mistakes. Love the person you’re becoming. Put your phone down and place your hands on your heart and breathe. Breathe love into your heart. Breathe love into every cell of your being. Connect with yourself. Because we come into this world alone and we exit it alone. The most impotant relationship you have in your life is the one with yourself. Work on it. Let it blossom. Laugh at yourself. Be the natural weirdo that you are. Do what you want to

Om Durgaya Namah: I am fearless. This sanskrit mantra translates to: Who I am has nothing to do with fear and everything to do with creative potential. I am free to make a future that's based on the peace I feel in this moment, and not one based on my past. Anything is possible from this place, and I welcome whatever is on its way. I hope you had a courageous week! Keep growing and loving ✨ @balancewithdanielle
