RIRI SPINACH

Most probably, Riri is the busiest man in the Indonesia’s dance scene. Still at the first half of 2010, he is lined up with every biggest djs coming to Indonesia. Opening set for Cressida, Marco V, Ferry Corsten, Dash Berlin, Kaskade, Tocadisco, Felix de Housecat, ATB, Rank 1, and more at few different festivals and clubnights. Riri’s profile has been amazing. He serves not just local crowds, but also Australians and Asians. He is DJ’ing alongside the likes of Sasha, Underworld, Nick Warren, Dennis Ferrer, Sean Tyas, Fedde Le Grand, James Lavelle, Ashley Caselle, Harry Lemon, Kasey Taylor, to name a few, during the formative years of the club scene across Asia.

At the age 17, he moved to Europe, where he started his exploration in a small bar at Montreux, Switzerland, “Mayfair Café”. After a few years shaping his DJ techniques, in the year 2000, he came back to Jakarta explored the Indonesian scenes. It took only 3 months until Riri Mestica attracts a brand new club called Retro.

He has released four albums until 2010, his first album, Keluarmalam was originally released in 2004 and it was the bridge between dance music and his production concept for the ‘Live Act’. This album really set another chapter for dance music in Indonesia, which has sold up to 12.000 pieces under his own label, Spinach Records & a repackage of 15.000 cds in 2008/2009, plus 300.000 subscribes for his Ring Back Tone “Rusty Guitar”. Now he is on the go to the next album “Unspoken” with the hits single “Last Call” & “Goodbye Silence”. The single “Last Call” just nominated in INDONESIA CUTTING EDGE AWARD 2010.

His achievements never come to an end. He was crowned No.1 DJ in Indonesia’s Top Ten DJ Paranoia Award 2007. Accompanying another award for Best Live PA of the year 2007. Came up 2nd best DJ REDMA 2009, Best Progressive DJ REDMA 2008. In 2007, He won the local grammy’s AMI Award for the best Dance Track for ‘Fadeaway’. His Stereo Mestica Album and Endless Rue track also won the Ravelexx Dance Music Awards. In 2009, he was chosen for the 2nd time to be the only Indonesian performed in F1 Singapore FUEL party, after 2003 Zouk Out and last year F1 Singapore Party.

Business wise, He was chosen as one of the 10 best young music entrepreneur in Indonesia who nominated in Indonesia Young & Creative Entrepreneur 2008. He also runs Spinach Records as independent label, dj academy and off course “Barcode”, 1800m2 club and outdoor venue right at the central of Kemang, Jakarta.

MIKO - PROJECT M

"I believe that life imitates music, and it really amazes me to see how it really happens on mine" Miko has always been a firm believer in this philosophy, way back in 1990 he discovered the love of music and the art of turntablism after experiencing Run DMC's performance. Started humbly as a mobile DJ back in the 90s, performing from small club to another, playing the only music that makes sense to be played on a set of turntables at that time and place, Hip-Hop. His natural progression as a professional DJ has resulted in his ability to deliver what's needed to rock a dancefloor whenever and wherever he is performing. Now with a sound he described as "sexytechnotribe" Miko's explosive set had been proved to never miss a target, whether it is Embassy Jakarta's main room, his weekly Saturday Wonderbar residency, or just simply any dancefloor worth exploring. His long journey as a DJ has finally taken him to shared decks with world's dance music icons such as: Tim Sheridan, Smokin Joe, Pete Doyle, Blank and Jones, Kyau and Albert, Jo Mills, Sander Van Doorn, Pete Tong, Victor Calderone, Chus and Ceballos, Satoshi Tomiie. And did the closing set for Paul va Dyk and John Digweed also. We are not going to bore you with the 'dates and places', there is just too much to tell. He learned so much from the people who have a lot of experience in the dance industry worldwide. This is our short version of informing that his skill as a DJ is without a doubt an extraordinary talent. Miko is currently focusing in producing his own track. Equipped with influences from artists such as Paul van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and Marco V, under the name of 'love kills' with his partner Big E. Nevertheless, he doesn't forget to take Jakarta's breath away every week. Prepare for a lookout of this powerful talent, coming to your stereo, soon…

As a multi talented individual with a strong musical background, great taste in music and years of experience as a real Club DJ, 1man started DJ-ing since Junior high school in the early years of 1985. Back then he started spinning Soul, Classic Disco, R&B, and had grown stronger into one of the senior and most respected DJs in the club scene in Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya, Bandung and other Asian cities such as Singapore & Kuala Lumpur.

Now with Soulful,Deep, House, and a kick of Techno as his taste of genres, 1man was the main man at Embassy & other clubs in Jakarta, where he had shares his decks with many of his much respected International guests such as Stephane K, Mistress Barbara, Derrick May, Christian Smith, Phil Kieran, Tim Sheridan, Smokin Jo, Deep Dish, Stacey Pullen, Chus & Ceballos, Funk D'Void, Laurent Garnier, Gene Farris, Mark Knight, Seamus Haji, DJ Dan, Ko Kimura, Joris Voorn, Technasia and many more.

1man's long and illustratious career had been rounded-off nicely when he recently got nominated by Ravelex Electronic Dance Music Awards (REDMA) as one of the Best Techno DJs of 2005, and one of the Best Resident DJs of 2005 and 2006, 2007 & 2008 also nominated by Paranoia Awards.

Patricia - Spinach

Patricia rise to the top of R&B Jakarta scene, started in Australia, while studying in 2001. Born with a mixture of German and Chinese blood, beautiful and bright, surrounded by people who were in the dance music industry, this girl’s hobby soon became a career to her amazement. On her return to Jakarta, Indonesia in 2002, Patricia received an offer to play at a hip-hop party. Patricia’s performance was raw and for this home town girl, she gave Jakarta something never seen before, a stunning female R&B DJ. Offers came in fast from clubs and event organizers. Not to mention that she became one of the first female DJs in Indonesia.

Within the same year, as an amazing marketing tool along with her talent, DJ Riri, founder of Spinach Records jumped on the opportunity to have her as a part of their team.

After 4 years being in the HipHop industry, with eclectic sounds from R&B, HipHop, Soul, Classics, and Reggae, she decided to broaden her genre into House. Ever since, she held more gigs around Indonesia’s major clubs in over 25 cities. Adding her creativity into her music, she collaborated with a few musicians, namely Dewi Sandra, 3 female violinist, Duo percussion, Rejoz (the groove),..and many more. Her skills doesn’t stop there, having a talent in singing, she featured vocals together with G.O.A (Andre chillink and Derry Bunglon). The single called “Wondering Song” was chosen to be one of the tracks released on the album of “Jakarta Movement 2005”. Several years after her first single release, in 2009 Patricia worked with Dj Riri and his team to create another single called “grooving me” and was released on DJ Riri’s latest album “Last Call”.

Early 2009, DJ Patricia once again teamed up for a collaboration, this time with one of the best drummer in Indonesia, Tyo Nugros.

This duo has been known to rock the dance floor, combining electronic dance music that largely features House beats, but also ranges far and wide into genres such as progressive, breakbeats , tech house and rock.

INNERLIGHT - 1945MF/SOUNDSCAPE

The unexpected rise of Indonesia's best trance DJ, INNERLIGHT, has posed a threat to the popularity of other local DJs. INNERLIGHT is a DJ and producer whose meteoric rise in music is in a whole different level. ....As said by indotrance.com, “those lackluster local DJs need to be more alarmed by his existence.” In 2004, INNERLIGHT took a bold step and predicted that this virtually unknown 30 year-old from Jogjakarta would rise to become one of the most prominent stars. ....In three years, his rapid ascendancy into dance music’s top tier has surpassed everybody’s expectations. His album “Take Me to the Blue Blue Sky” is reflected by his gig diary,which reads like the departure board at Glagah beach, a popular club in Jakarta, Bandung, Jogjakarta, Surabaya, and Bali. ....He is famously known for his genre-defying productions right from 2004’s first trance album “Take Me to the Blue Blue sky”, to current releases that find support right across the dance scene. In this particular project, INNERLIGHT serves as the executive producer as well as the founder of Soundscape Record. INNERLIGHT also succeeded in a national dance event show along with other best DJs in the national and international levels. RHINO - REBORN/SPINDOCS MUSIC

Rhino has a good ear for quality dance music. “Music” for him is “a way of life”. He has always loved music, even from a very young age (about two years old) there’s a picture of Rhino with a pair of headphones on! Between 1996 and 2006 he performed as a resident at several clubs in Jogja and in these years he developed an important foundation. Together with some friends he founded Reborn Dance Division which provides the city with all sorts of quality dance music. He created big parties such as Earthquake, Reborn – The Release Party, Infected, Dance Clinic and Flight 1061... Rhino is also a competent mixer and one of the most sought after talents around to wow crowds with his crisp mixing and track selections, playing at events such as Bassrush, Flight 1061, Ultimate Fired Up, MTV 3Some, Godskitchen and many other clubs all over Indonesia. He has shared the decks with Solar Stone, AJ Gibson, John OO Flemming, Andy Moore, Jean Claude Ades, Clubworxx and many more. .. Throughout the years he has developed an exclusive way of bringing his sound to the crowds he plays for. Together with 3 Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3, a DJM 800 mixer he will rock the crowd in a certain way. Rhino was the first DJ to hold Geronimo FM’s "Most Favourite Radio DJ" title for the four consecutive years: in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2006 he became one of Heineken Thirst Studio 06 semifinalists. Other honours include Ravelex Electronic Dance Music Award for Yogyakarta DJ of the Year 2008... In 2007 Rhino formed Spindocs Music, the label that became a home of records of people whose work he really believe in. As a producer Rhino already has some different remixes and productions in his repertoire. His massive tracks ‘Freakuency’, ‘Rush Hour’, 'Living with an Angel', 'Sweet Misery' and 'Angel's Tears' has been released worldwide... OSVALDO - 1945MF

Indonesian-born OSVALDO NUGROHO fell in love with dance music in the clubs of Singapore. This fascination would later grow into a passion for creating music that not only touches people, but also move them in synch.
In his home country, Osvaldo Nugroho was nominated in 2006 for a number of awards, including the RAVELEX Award. Osvaldo Nugroho was also seminal part of the movement to mainstream dance, rocking Rave parties all over Indonesia (including the famous Jakarta Movement 2004, Jakarta Movement 2005, The Lost Chapter 1 and Aquasonic) and becoming a household name for partygoers at some of the finest clubs in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bali, Surabaya and many more.
Since moving to China, Osvaldo Nugroho has continued his ascent by spinning in numerous prestigious clubs in Beijing, Jinan, and Hongkong. At the same time, Osvaldo Nugroho has participated in tours across Malaysia and Singapore.
Not foregoing his love for spinning, Osvaldo Nugroho has also over the years asserted his style as a productive, creative song-writer and producer. Osvaldo Nugroho’s signing as an official artist of Bonzai Records (Belgium) is a reflection of his growing mastery of musical production, with three singles released in 2008.
Currently, Osvaldo is anticipating the Worldwide release of his first solo album, titled Escapade001. As well, Osvaldo has been entrusted with developing remixes for international musicians such as Placebo, System F (Ferry Corsten), Damien S, Jamaster A, Marcie, and many more
Osvaldo remains closely associated to 1945MF, In 2009, Osvaldo established the Beijing Chapter of 1945MF, injecting the city’s already-wildly dance scene with yet more fresh blood and talent.

DIDI THE DUB WAVE - 1945MF

As grandson of the first president of Indonesia, Didi started his professional DJ career in 1997. Influenced by D Ramires & Danny Howells. He plays house music & Electro house. In collaboration with his brothers, DJ Romy & DJ Dade, they established 1945 Music Factory in August 17th, 1998. At that time he became one of the talented DJs in Jakarta. Didi has shared the decks with so many DJs, such as Adrian Champion, Chiro Shaso a.k.a Black Legend, Nico Deceglia, Timbary a.k.a Timbo, Jason Patrick, Tom baker & Natalie c (PULS RADIO UK). He also shares his ability of producing music with his brothers under E45.

Today, he chooses Electro House & Dirty House as his style of dance music.
