Ballywaltrim Community Park and Playground

A big thank you to our local council who continue to regularly restore our park to pristine condition.

We all have a role to play too.

With a full easing of restrictions scheduled for October 22 and the Halloween festivities on the horizon, there's no better time for us to come back together to keep the park looking great.

Recently damaged equipment has been replaced and the basketball court resurfaced and marked out.

Let's build on this momentum with regular clean ups and responsible use and please report any incidents of misuse.

It is great to see so many park users really making the most of our local amenity.

From October 22 some of the regular volunteers will return to litter picking and upkeep. Please feel free to do your part and let's PICK UP where we left off!

It's a stunning day in the park and as restrictions begin to ease over the next weeks and months, we will be delighted to see more and more responsible use of our great local amenity.

We would be so grateful if everyone can continue to keep the park in the great condition it was found in today, keep binning your litter, take heavy rubbish home, report any broken or faulty equipment and respect all park users.

Thank you to all of the parents, volunteers and young people who continue to do voluntary park litter picks and to the council for their weekly upkeep and maintenance.

Fingers crossed for a nice summer ahead, increased freedoms as vaccinations roll out and a bustling Ballywaltrim Park and Playground.
