What a great evening at our first open night in Carrigtwohill Community National School 💙💛 It was lovely meeting you all. Thanks to Teresa & all the staff within CNS inviting us showcase our afterschool. I want to especially thank all our afterschool children that helped us prepare so much. I'm sure you will agree their artistic skills are fabulous and our stand looked great 🎨👨‍🎨👩‍🎨 We had lots of fun and mess making posters and even had a map around our room to help the children know where to put all their posters. Finally I want to send a special thanks to Becky and Emma who done a great job setting up, meeting you all and holding the forth while Orla & I have been getting some October Sun ☀️🏖

I would like to welcome Emma to our All Aboard Afterschool Team in CNS. Emma is joining us as a relief worker. 💙💛

Both myself and Becky had the pleasure of working with Emma previously so we are delighted to be working together as a team again.

Q1. What made you want to work with the afterschool age group?

I find the children are a mixture of being very independent and curious. I really enjoy the children sharing their hobbies/interests with me. It is great to see them talk about what they find curious or things that fascinates each child while seeing them grow and develop each day.

Q2. What is your favourite activity to do with children?

I love exploring nature with the children and finding ways to incorporate art&nature e.g. leaf stamps, nature ornaments, wreaths etc.🌲🍂🪴🌻

I also enjoy sitting and chatting while playing chess or other boardgames.🎲♟️🧩

Q3. What are you looking forward to most about working in All Aboard Afterschool?

I'm looking forward to being able to interact with a wide range of age groups and seeing what the different interests the age groups have.

Q4. Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

I love working with animals including horse-riding and I enjoy swimming, going for hikes/trail walks.

I would like to welcome Becky to our All Aboard Afterschool Team in CNS.

I had the pleasure of working with Becky previously so I am delighted to be working alongside Becky working together to grow and build a happy, fun afterschool for all children attending Carrigtwohill CNS 💙💛

Q1. What made you want to work in early years?

I have always loved teaching, engaging and playing with children of all ages growing up so this was an easy career choice for me

Q2. What is your favourite activity to do with children?

I love being outdoors with the kids as well as lots of art & craft activities.🐞🦋🎨👩‍🎨

Q3. What are you looking forward to most about working in All Aboard Afterschool?

I'm looking forward to getting to know all the children and all their different personalities.

Q4. Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

I love anything outdoors & I also love to bake and cook. 🥧🧁🌲🍂

❤️ I had the most loveliest birthday in work today feeling very blessed loads of hugs, birthday wishes, bracelets, pictures even pink champagne I was told ❤️ We had some treats and cake to celebrate 🎂🥳 A lovely start to a Monday ❤️

We are all settling back into afterschool and our afterschoolers have been busy mingling with new friends and exploring our rooms. Creativity is valuable in education because it builds cognitive complexity. Creativity relies on having deep knowledge and being able to use it effectively. 💙💛

That's the first full week of school completed 🏫🚸🎒It was lovely to welcome everyone back those who attended previously and all those who have newly joined us in All Aboard CCNS Afterschool - This week we spent all our time in our playroom getting to know everyone it was so nice seeing new friendships being made and the senior cycle children helping the junior cycle to settle in and be their buddies 💙💛

Thats a wrap of our first Summer Camp in All Aboard CCNS Afterschool.

We had games week for our last week and had lots of competitive kids but fun was had by all. 🎲🍦

I would like to thank all the parents and amazing kids that attended. I hope all who attended over the Summer holidays enjoyed it as much as I did.

Now its time to get ready for the new school year so if anyone needs breakfast club or afterschool care please get in contact. We are very flexible with days/hours, snacks provided, homework club and lots of activities. Open 7.20-8.20am and 1.20-5.20pm €7 per hour however we are registered for NCS which gives a minimum of €2.14 off per hour for every child. Open to all parents/gaurdians needs on early school closure days, midterms and school holidays.

Science Camp here in All Aboard CCNS, Week 1 of Summer camp completed. Great fun was had experimenting and also going on some outings.

That's a wrap on Afterschool in CNS - Our first year and it's been great, already looking forward to August/September. I want to thank all the parents who have come on board in choosing us to look after your children. Thanks for all the kind wishes, messages of support and your kindness. It would not have been as successful without a great team in CNS but most importantly all the amazing children that attend. We have enjoyed getting to know all their personalities, building friendships all while having fun, little trips, camps and events. More to come for All Aboard CCNS Afterschool 💙💛

Today we say goodbye to Alba in All Aboard CNS Afterschool. Alba is returning home to Spain 🇪🇸 We wish Alba all the best in her future endeavours. Our afterschool will miss your infectious enthusiasm, fun, activities and great care you provided to all the children 💙💛
