We’re currently looking for an ‘allrounder’ to work at berrytree cafe in Mountshannon - preferably someone who can also work weekdays (Th/Fr at present), not just weekends.

This strawberry cake, with its super soft and fluffy sponge (not like your regular Victoria sponge!), chantilly cream and fresh, sweet strawberries, iis so simple, yet so effective. The ingredients really get to shine. Heaven on a fork! 🍓

Since the sun is a bit reluctant to show its face at the moment, we’re injecting some extra sunshine into our cakes this week. Take this gorgeous lass for instance - a raspberry & apricot crumble cake. Positively bursting with summer flavour! Yum! And it’s dairy free to boot!

Also, don’t miss our blueberry & vanilla crumble cake, or our (gluten-friendly) peach & hazelnut slice or blueberry & coconut muffin. And lots more - waaaay too many to list here! You’ll just have to come and see for yourself!

1) DEPOSIT
Pop into Berrytree and order your favourite coffee-to-go as usual and pay a €2 deposit for the reusable 2GoCup on top of the price of your drink.

2) ENJOY
Savour your brew guilt-free in this attractive, convenient, eco-friendly cup!

3) RETURN or REUSE
Keep your cup and keep using it, or bring it back to Berrytree (or any participating location in the country) and get your full deposit back, or swap the cup for a fresh one!

With this wonderful scheme, we hope to do our bit in reducing the use of single-use cups. We’re soft-launching the scheme today and are really excited to get started!

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. No filter needed! Just breathtaking.

Nothing screams spring quite like a lilac tree in full bloom! I just love lilac, with its dainty blossoms and floral scent. I love it so much, I’ve even tried bottling it! But my lilac syrup didn’t come close to the real thing in our garden. So instead, I sprinkle the blossoms on my cakes. This (you‘d-never-ever-guess-it‘s-vegan) blueberry, vanilla & coconut crumble cake seemed like the obvious choice this morning! So pretty! 💜

We’ll be open during our usual hours this Easter - so from Thursday, 28 March to Easter Sunday, 31 March, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Almond & cinnamon cruffins fresh from the oven in today! Back again for Easter next weekend. Delicious warm or cold …. mmmmh!!!

Making a guest appearance this weekend - cherry & almond bakewell flan, in a homemade sweet shortcrust pastry & homemade cherry jam. Won’t be hanging round for long, so you’ll have to be quick!

First day done and dusted! Apart from the gas choosing today of all days to run out, the heating not working, the card reader going on the blink and the POS being all glitchy (they mustn’t have gotten the memo that we were opening today!), it was a really wonderful first day back! 🤭 A huge thank you to everyone who dropped by. Here again tomorrow and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Call by for your coffee fix. ☕️

Mince pie mania here at berrytree!

Our deep-fill, fully homemade, lovingly handcrafted brandy mince pies are walking out the door this time of year!

After making 15 kg+ of berrytree’s signature mincemeat and about 10 kg of all-butter sweet shortcrust pastry, am looking a bit like in - just covered in flour and icing sugar in my case!

Still need a gift for someone this Christmas? How about a gift voucher for berrytree café? Any amount, any products, no expiry! It can be used in one go or by degrees. Anything goes!

Yay, it’s 1 December, which means it’s finally time to switch on the fairy lights and crank up the Christmas tunes!

This is our first Christmas at berrytree café, and to kick off the festive season we‘ve added some steaming winter drinks to the menu.

We’re taking a wee break next week, so won’t be open this coming Thursday-Sunday (2-5 November). Back on Thursday, 9 November from 11 am, with lots of berrytree’s signature goodies, plus some new tasty treats to see you through the autumn/winter season!

There’s nothing like a steaming cup of hot chocolate to warm up on days like these. Especially when it’s made with REAL chocolate from !

All systems are go! (Well, almost!)

The berrytree café is opening its doors good and proper on Wednesday, 26 July from 11 am to 6 pm. BUT for those of you who can’t wait till then, we‘re doing a “softish” opening with a limited menu this coming weekend! Kicking off at 11 am on Friday, 21 July!

Regular opening hours are 11 am to 6 pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Closed Monday & Tuesday.

In addition to berrytree’s popular cakes and bakes, the menu will also feature breakfast bites and light lunches of sandwiches, salads, soups.

Also in the pipeline - for those of you who are so inclined - are wine (& prosecco) & nibbles in the afternoons.

The berrytree team is very excited to welcome you to the café in the weeks and months to come!
