At the market in the Prom this morning and Summer Swing on Sunday so looking forward to busy weekend.

I have sourced some Loganberries from the midlands so have Loganberry Jam on the stall. There is a very limited supply and am taking orders. Not only are Loganberries very scarce but also expensive so jars will be €6. My own berries are producing nicely but not enough Loganberries.

The match will be broadcast live in the Prom on Sunday so it should be fun. Hope to see you all there.

Cobh Town Bus Update: The application for a stop at Ticknock is now with the NTA for approval. No estimated date for approval yet, but the expectation set from the beginning was that it would be September earliest. Speaking to Barrys coaches, they will be meeting in the next few weeks to discuss additional service proposals including but not limited to a 3 times daily run to Ballymore, a stop close to the community centre and more frequent connections to the tarain station and cobh connect links. It’s important to note that the bus driver will drop you to Ticknock by request currently.
Additionally, im working on the report for Local Link & NTA on more round the island service for Cobh using the data from the Cobh Transport Survey and other information gathered from speaking to residents, groups and businesses over the past 10 months. I will submit this once Barrys have made a decision, as it will influence the final report. Feel free to email me with any questions [email protected]

What a fabulous night in Ballymore last night. Thank you to Finola McCarthy for the idea and everyone on the BCA committee who organised it. The church was a great venue as the acoustics were perfect for the music.

Sorry the pictures are from Facebook as I was too busy listening to the music to take any.

And lastly thank you to Yvonne & James Cahill for providing food in the High Chaparral afterwards.

Hope to see you at the market!

Another great day at Summer Swing today. There was a great buzz around town.

Just some feedback from tourists. All said how pretty Cobh is and clean.

Several English tourists could not get over how clean and pretty our towns looked. Two separate groups travelling in Campervans both mentioned the flowers etc They also said it was lovely how laid back and friendly we are. Both had extended there planned stay on Cobh.

Photos from Homemade in Marloag's post 12/05/2024
