Our Gala Awards night also gave us the opportunity to thank our sponsors for their most generous contribution during the year. Presentations were made by the sponsors to the winning clubs in each category. Thank you to all of our sponsors.

Last night saw the Muskerry Sports Star Awards Gala Event take place in Oriel House Hotel. There was a huge crowd there, all lovely people looking their best. Their was a great atmosphere there. Three teams of the year were announced and the overall Muskerry Sports Star of 2019 was revealed as Daniel Goulding. The team pics below along with the presentation to Daniel Goulding by Eileen O'Flynn of The Auld Triangle. Also in the pic of Daniels presentation is Pat Malone Chairman of Muskerry Board and Eire Og GAA Club, Marc Sheehan Vice Chairman of Cork County Board, Daniel, Eileen, Ella from Oriel House Hotel and William Buckley, Chairman of Awards Committee. Now the real work starts. Nominations are now being sought for our Muskerry Teams of the Year.
We are looking for nominations for our Junior Football and Hurling Team of the Year and this year its the Intermediates Football Team of the Year.
So for the Junior teams the player must have finished the year playing Junior and they must be an adult player, so no minors are eligible.
For the Intermediate team the player the cannot have played Senior and also no minors are eligible.

Teams will be announced on the 25th January 2020 at our Gala Black Tie Event in Oriel House Hotel.

And now to our Award Winner for October. Eire Ogs Daniel Goulding could not be overlooked after his performance in the Premier Intermediate Football Final. Once again Daniel led by example and turned in an outstanding performace. Daniel too brought a great crowd from Eire Og. Congrats Daniel and enjoy the celebrations. Best of Luck in the Munster campaign.

What a fantastic night last night at The Auld Triangle. Cloughduv and Verling families out in force to support Brian Verling receiving his September Award, Thanks as always to Kitty and crew for serving up delicious fare. The Auld Triangle and Muskerry Award then for October has to go to Daniel Goulding from Eire Og having won the Premier Intermediate County title last Sunday. Daniel put in a sterling performance as well as leading the team as captain.

Auld Triangle and Muskerry GAA Awards are going to finish the year with a bang. We are announcing the final 2 awards together.
Septembers Award is going to Cloughduvs Brian Verling. Brian has given consistently excellent performances in their 2 Intermediate Championship games in September against Meelin and Sarsfields. These two matches have secured Cloughduvs entry to the Intermediate County Final, not bad going after coming up from the Junior ranks only 12 months ago. Well Done Brian!

Last night the Auld Triangle hosted the presentation night for Inniscarra Colm Casey. A lovely group of friends, family and team mates gathered to celebrate Colms award. Kitty Walsh on behalf of the Auld Triangle welcomed everyone and presented Colm with his award. Continued success both on and off the field Colm.

The Auld Triangle and Muskerry Sports Star for August has been announced. Inniscarras Colm Casey is this months recipient. Colm Casey Inniscarra has won this award for his performances in the Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship games against Ballinhassig & Mallow. He scored 4 goals 5 points from play between both those games and he also put in excellent performances in his support play to his team. He maybe in his twilight years but has still plenty to give to his club on the field of play.

What an enjoyable evening last night. Paul Ring from Aghabullogue GAA and Cork U20 footballer had his presentation evening. Paul received the Auld Triangle and Muskerry Sports Star Award for July for his outstanding performances during the year culminating in a superb display on All Ireland Day.
Paul brought all the family and Aghabullogue GAA were out in force to show their support and pride for Paul.
Well done Paul and I am sure we will be seeing a lot lot more of you. Here are some pics from last night.

Auld Triangle and Muskerry Sports Star for the month of July is Aghabullogue and Corks Paul Ring. Paul has played a starring role in the U20 football games in July and was certainly one of the stars of the Cork campaign. Paul has also played some great football for Muskerry footballers. Congratulations Paul, see you in the Auld Triangle for your presentation evening.

Well we are half way through the awards year. Last night saw Aghinaghs Liam Twohig receive his June award for an outstanding championship display against Cill na Martra. Liam has been on the radar a while now and is certainly one to watch. Joining Liam last night at the Auld Triangel were his family and friends. A lovely bunch of people and everyone enjoyed the food and the company. Congrats Liam

The Auld Triangle and Muskerry Award winner for June is Liam Twohig from Aghinagh. Liam put in a sterling performance against Cill na Martra in JAFC. Liam has been one to watch all the way up the ranks and is about time Liam and Aghinagh were awarded. Well done Liam, looking forward to your presentation night at The Auld Triangle.

Auld Triangle and Muskerry Sports Star for May is Eimear Scally from Eire Og and Cork Ladies Football.
Eimear has again had an outstanding year so far on the football field and it is for these displays that she is receiving the award. Well Done Eimear and see you soon in the Auld Triangle for your presentation night.

Last night saw Noel O'Leary from Cill na Martra receive his Auld Triangle Sports Star Award. Noel was joined by family, friends and club mates to celebrate his success. As always the Cill na Martra crowd gathered in force to show their appreciation for this stalwart of football in our Division. Well Done Noel and best wishes going forward to you and your family.

On to our 2nd Award of the Year for the month of April. Noel O'Leary from Cill na Martra has been selected for his recent outstanding performance against Eire Og. Well done Noel, Eileen O'Flynn of the Auld Triangle will host a presentation evening shortly to honour Noel, and he will be joined by family and friends to help celebrate. Congrats again Noel and continued success.
