We are appealing for your support with our latest fundraiser for Corkbeg AFC.

As a club, we continue to work at upgrading our facilities for club members and indeed, the wider community. As a result of storm damage caused by Storm Babet back in October, we lost our main clubhouse and our shop facilities , which was a major blow for us.

We have sourced replacement facilities and we are currently working to put the replacement units in place at our club grounds in Whitegate.

We are also planning on a major two-year drainage project for our main club pitch in Whitegate, so that ultimately more games will be able to be played during bad weather. The cost of this project is over 50,000 euros.

With funds badly needed to undertake and complete these projects, we have come up with a unique and hopefully, a very memorable fundraiser at Aghada Community Centre on Saturday, 23rd of March 2024.

In association with Hubcap Theatre, we present ''The Parish''.

''The Parish'' is a hilarious light comedy, where two actors bring to life a range of characters that can be found in every rural community. The play brings to life a story of conflict and treachery in the community, but it ultimately celebrates friendship and community spirit, which creates a bond that overcomes all adversity.

Written and performed by Sean Kelleher and Michael Ryan of Hubcap Theatre, the show promises to be a night full of laughs, banter and great family entertainment.

We are hoping that all our members and members of the community at large will support this important club fundraiser.

The company behind The Parish, HubCap Theatre Company was set up to perform original work written and performed by its founders Sean Kelleher and Michael Ryan. As performers, writers and producers, our ethos is to provide highly entertaining, accessible theatre in its purest form. It is influenced by the tradition of the old Fit-Up Theatre companies that travelled to every community bringing live theatre to the people. The Parish is the company’s first production now touring.
