I was delighted to make and install this pair of hallway entrance doors to a lovely period property lately with a lovely view of youghal bay , they should be lovely when the stained glass is installed and a finish coat of paint ,

Couple of staircases manufactured and installed lately , one is pre primed with steps lacquered , one is just sanded to a high quality

Solid oak open thread stairs with led lighting and slatted balustrade, turned out nice ,

Concrete stairs cladding , their very labour intensive and I do wish that building professionals took this into account when designing or advising clients to go with it. They are very safe and with the right finishing they look just like a workshop built stairs but they are more expensive , but this one turned quite nice with oak steps and handrail with red deal Newell’s and spindles ,

Alcove units , with a full media unit in the middle it all should look great after the painter has worked his magic ,

Southern yellow pine open thread stairs , very simple design , lovely timber to work with ,

The Best way to show off your work is after the painter has been and gone , and I must say a huge thank you to Stephen of Prodec coatings for doing a serious job of finishing our hallway to which we gave a big overhaul lately , here we have custom made doors,frames and Archietrave, with applied mouldings which match the mouldings on the wainscoting throughout the house , all made from scratch in-house , we’re delighted with the final results,

trickiest part of an attic conversion Is the staircase , this one had zero room for error as the run was really tight , once again it was made especially for this attic in the workshop and thankfully fitted without a hitch ,

Staircase with pre finished oak threads , primed spindles , string and risers , with fluted box Newell’s and oak caps , great client to deal with makes the work much easier ,

This client made a super job of constructing this steel staircase for their own house , my contribution was to prepare the ash steps and pre finish and fit on site , also I housed out the grooves to accommodate LED strip lighting on the underside of the steps , it’s just waiting on the glass balustrade and it should be stunning , especially at night ,

The triple B , Bespoke, Bed , Build. Handy way to increase the footprint of the box bedroom lift the bed up and fit the underneath with drawer units and bookshelves, handy way to make a bedroom cool,

Sometimes it’s not possible to put in a new stairs so you have to do the next best thing , here I had to clad an existing staircase and put in a balustrade to match an existing staircase which was fitted last year from the first floor to the attic ,

You can’t beat a bit of bespoke cabinet making on wet old Monday morning, again I’ll hopefully have follow up pics when it’s all painted ,

Here we have a portable food preparation island fitted on casters do it can be moved , has a solid beech top with removable section for waste disposal , storage shelving and cupboards underneath, this was made higher than normal kitchen island height at the customers request.

Here we have a straight staircase manufactured and fitted with pre finished oak steps , had to be fitted in two stages as there was a stud wall and plastered balustrade that was later fitted with a solid oak capping,

Couple of Panneling jobs undertaken lately , will hopefully have a few follow up photos once the painting is complete,

Sometimes in order to get a staircase into where it needs to go you have to flatpack it and assemble on site , also it saves the back break of hauling a full staircase in through a door , thankfully this one fitted nice and snug,

Couple of bits and pieces I’ve been working on , very busy at the moment which is alway a nice complaint

Recently fitted stair cladding , to look at it you’d hardly know it was a concrete staircase, this one features Georgian box Newell posts which were made in-house , this should look really nice once painted and the oak handrail and newell caps are clear finished ,

Concrete stairs , their a great job when building the house for workers to get from floor to floor , their also very solid underfoot and will last forever , however their very challenging to cover and finish to the same standard as a traditional workshop built stairs .
But I’m happy enough with the finished product and so were the clients , thankfully

Another tricky attic stairs , double winder box to get the people up with the smallest footprint possible , this allowed the clients to keep their box bedroom and avail of the attic space , had to be assembled on site ,

Lockdown home project part 2 . As a continuation into the room adjoining the snooker room we have put in a window seat in the bay window as well as a media / tv unit / bookcase with base unit closed off with in frame doors and upper unit with open shelving , also the rest of the room has been paneled to match the snooker room . All doors , panelling, units and radiator covers have been custom made with matching applied mouldings to give a uniform finish throughout the two rooms ,

With the majority of my work in peoples houses at the moment I took a little time to sort a few jobs of my own that have been on the long finger , started by removing the existing double doors between two rooms and replaced them with a three door set custom made , and then two more doors leading to the hallway, then some nice paneling all around the room just finished in time for delivery of a snooker table to keep us all sane and pass the day ,

My god what a busy year that was , just a few last small projects to round off 2020 , just want to wish all my clients past and future a safe and happy Christmas and a hopeful new year , it’s been a year that we won’t forget in a hurry I would also like to thank those working on the frontline of the hospitals and health system in general for their service to their country this year , and give my support to those in the hospitality , tourism, and other affected industries when the time eventually arrives that we can let loose and enjoy life a bit more we will be there , stay safe and happy Christmas everyone ,
