Did you know that if you have a bike you no longer need, Sign & Cycle is operating a new initiative at Cork County Council's recycling centre at Raffeen where bicycles that would previously have entered the waste stream are now collected for refurbishment and redistribution back into the community! Sign & Cycle is a partnership between Deaf Enterprises and Cork Community Bikes that enables deaf and hard of hearing trainees, amongst others, to become bicycle mechanics.

What a fantastic all-round win-win 👏❤️👏❤️

Also a huge thank you to for visiting us today. He came and spoke to everyone and gave so much of his time to make sure he met everyone on site. He told us that "every day is a learning day" some of the kids showed the Lord Mayor how to say "Lord mayor" in ISL. He also advised us all that the best start to a day is porridge and honey! Thanks again for your enjoyable visit.

Our sign and cycle project had a very productive morning and donated two bikes to the St. Mary's on thr Hill NS. The bikes will be used by the school to teach students how to cycle, and learn about bike safety and awareness. Our bike manager, Jakub pictured here was warmly greeted by some students of the school and by the school principal Ms. Maura Fennessy. This project is a great incentive to deter bikes from going to landfill. If you would like more information please contact 021 4294111.
