This year one of my projects was to get a craftsperson to build me a little garden room where I could escape the wind and rain and read my gardening magazines !

Every now and again I scrub up and put on my best guna and go to a party !

On St Brigids Day I was busy making crosses from the rushes that grow by the pond .Spring has finally arrived !

For World Wetland Day I recorded the sounds of the waterfowl settling down for the evening at Shippool Cottage .So soothing .

Today is World Wetland Day and I will be celebrating living in the midst of this wonderful wetland at Shippool Cottage Flower Farm where we have so many important habitats; wild flower meadows,reed beds,ponds and river banks .Last night I recorded the sounds of the wildfowl settling down for the night .

It's been a strange year at Shippool Cottage Flower Farm .Following a great start with my tulips and ranunculus ,I had an accident and had to stop flower farming for the 2021 season but there was still lots of beauty on the farm and now I am recovered I'm looking forward to the year ahead .Happy New Year to all my followers and customers !

Happy Spring Equinox ! The flower farm is bursting into colour with anemones ,daffodils and primroses.

My kitten Loki spends a lot of time sitting on my heated seed propagator .I think she believes she may eventually turn into a black panther .

Today is World Wetland day .For the past year at Shippool Cottage Flower Farm ,while the flower business has been quiet,I have taken on a wetland restoration project here and restored a silted up lake and created new habitats for wetland species.it will be a lifelong project but it's looking beautiful .
