Covid has been a journey for so many business owners and we're thankful that we're still standing. Hello lovely people😊 Tis a long one, you have been warned!!

We've been very quiet on the social media front of late, apologies for the lack of contact, rest assured we're still kicking!

Here we are into our third week of our third lockdown, who among us could have predicted the challenges this past year has brought. Lots of changes for us in our small business, we went from three shops to one, closing our Oliver Plunkett and Galway stores permanently. A really difficult decision to make, but the only way forward for us. We have been able to continue with our Cornmarket store and for that we're hugely grateful.

I'm not gonna lie as a 'non-essential retailer' these periods of closure definitely test one's mettle. You wonder 'will people want to shop in town again' or 'maybe it's time to think about a career change.' Thankfully these fears have been put to bed! We were blown away by the support we received upon reopening in June and once again in December. Thank you for supporting us, for choosing to shop local, for choosing to shop small and for keeping the dream alive. Ye're all amazing!

I know you have been waiting patiently for the online store and I promise you we will deliver. We're pretty old school at Casa Craft and have always taken a hands-on approach to doing business. The majority of our stock we have travelled and sourced directly ourselves, something we can no longer do in the current climate.

These days challenge us all to do things differently, and with every challenge there is always an opportunity for growth. Be kind, be human and if some days the most you can do is smile and breathe, I'd say you're off to a pretty good start X
