Good luck to Cork and Clare in the 2024 All Ireland Senior Hurling Final against on Sunday.

As always, UCC GAA Club will have a part to play in this year's final. The club has won 42 Fitzgibbon Cup championships and many of the players on Sunday have been part of those triumphs with college in recent years.

On the Cork panel, current students are Cathal McCarthy (Sarsfields) Digital Humanities & Information, Shane Barrett (Blarney) Masters Accounting, Eoin Downey (Glen Rovers) Arts and his brother Robert (MSC Management Marketing), Robbie Cotter (Blackrock) Food Marketing & Entrepreneurship), Brion Saunderson (Midleton) Arts, Brian Hayes (St Finbarr's) MSC Management Marketing), Ben Cunningham (St Finbarr's) Commerce and Ethan Twomey (St Finbarr's) BIS, Cormac O'Brien (Newtownshandrum) Commerce, Ger Millerick (Fr O'Neill's) Sports Studies & Physical Education.

Graduates of the university involved in the game on Sunday are Conor & Damien Cahalane (St Finbarr's), Conor Lehane & Tommy O'Connell (Midleton), Shane Kingston (Douglas), Seamus Harnedy (St Ita's), Robbie O'Flynn (Erin's Own), Niall O'Leary (Castlelyons), Eoin Carey (Kilworth), Eoin Roche (Bride Rovers), Daire O'Leary (Watergrasshill), Jack O'Connor (Sarsfields), Darragh Fitzgibbon (Charleville), Mark Coleman (Blarney) and the captain of Cork Sean O'Donoghue (Inniscarra).

Well done to UCC students Robyn Murphy and Julia McCarthy who are currently competing with the Irish Hockey U21s in the European Championships in Spain. They will be competing against Austria on Tuesday and England on Wednesday.🏑
