Róisín's work presents a series of vessels that act as a metaphor for grief. "I view a vessel as an empty space that suggests the absence of a memory, person, object or feeling. My practice explores the dichotomy between comfort and discomfort and confronts the viewer in a direct way."

Nice to see Slip Stream's new interactions at the microGALLERY at 46 Grand Parade. Also great to know (I think) there are still a small number of Rebecca's publication Edge Lands, released on Culture Night at The Glucksman, Crawford Art Gallery Sternview Gallery and The Gallery at No.46 Grand Parade. MTU, an arts rich university, celebrates and explores its Art Collection through a new series of insightful video profiles made with some of the artists recently added to the Collection.
Established over 30 years ago, the Art Collection now includes over 600 artworks, focusing on artists graduating from the MTU Crawford College of Art & Design.
This first group of profiles introduces artworks added to the Collection in 2019, all by graduates of Fine Art or Contemporary Applied Art at MTU Crawford College of Art & Design, and includes Paul Connell, Orla O’Byrne, Paul McQuillan, Niamh Swanton, Luke Hickey, Katie Shoer, Allanah Dennehy, Síofra Holyland, and Sinéad Barrett.
