Today is the birthday of our administrator, Connie. I have no idea what we at ELTA did to deserve the company and support of this brilliant soul. Connie manages the administration at ELTA with focus and dedication, which is typical of her impeccable and generous spirit, because her real vocation is teaching Special Needs children. During lockdown she completed her Master’s in Special & Additional Learning Needs, with merit, a demanding and prestigious degree awarded by the University of East London. We are grateful to the Universe for lending her to us and have no words to thank Connie for all she does for our community of teachers and students at ELTA. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNIE!

This photo was taken in 2012, when Harish spent the day with Robin Callan at his home in Grantchester, Cambridge, two years before Robin Callan passed away.

𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 in Ireland to have been accredited by the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, which was the accrediting body in 2007 and remained so until 2012.

Since 2012 , the inspection and accreditation of English language schools in Ireland has been carried out by QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland), ‘an independent State agency responsible for promoting quality and accountability in education and training services in Ireland’ (from www.qqi.ie) who continued to accredit ELTA.
