Wall Candy Picture Framing
Wall Candy Picture Framing is a Picture framing & Printing business based in village of Portmarnock.
We are in the old Post office unit with access through Print Chain
A lovely print of a coffee pot done simply with a yellow inner mount. Not what the client had in mind but very please they followed our guidance on it.
So we were asked to prepare this selection of patches from different police departments throughout Ireland.
It's going to be presented to An Garda Siochana by Blue Daos law enforcement motor bike club who are based in Ireland and do great work fir charity all year long.
So while coming up with the design I wanted to incorporate an Irishness to it but also give ot a biker feel so I came up ith the tribal design based on celtic designs.
Once drawn out I was able to sent it to our Valiani machine for cutting.
Of course you couldn't do all this work without finishing it off with non reflective glass
While I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of black or white frames but in this situation it really does work.
Two beautiful signed prints by Orla Kiely are complimented by the use of the double mounts. One using lime the other using orange and both using a top mount with black core.
Using ARTGLASS as we did provides a non reflective glass with 70% UV protection.
By the way we also do large format / fine art printing here at Wall Candy Picture Framing
Sometimes it pays to work on a bank holiday and clear most of the back log
Delighted to frame this players signed, Irish rugby jersey on behalf of Portmarnock Lions club. Details within where you can place a bid and possible win this fabulous Jersey. All funds raised will go towards supporting those in need within our community.
Some of the apprentice handy work today
Always nice to do local work. Here's a jersey framed on behalf of Portmarnock Pitch and Putt to be presented to their sponsor NRG PANEL.
Another great addition to the Wall Candy collection. A series of medals a client brought in, where our team had full design control.
This was a brilliant chance to showcase what we can do with our frames and we think it looks bloody awesome.
Each medal was scanned & traced on our cad software before being exported into our computer cutting software and cut on our Valiani computerised mount cutter.
As you can see each medal fits snuggly into the mounts especially the second one from the left.
Beautiful acrylic on canvas all the way from Brazil. Mounted but not stretched. The black core mount and subtle off white picks up the greys in the painting and the choice of non reflective glass really makes this piece stand out
A Picture tells a 1000 words, so the ribbons were taken from the leinster Senior football championship Cup way back in 2004 and looked after all these years with the promise that one day they would be given to one of the players.
So the thought process for this job was to reunite the ribbons with the cup.
I drew out a rough shape of the cup in question and then inserted the team photo and inscription. The cup was carved out using V grooves on our Valiani cmc cutter.
Nice limited edition print with non reflective glass. If it's a piece you really care about I would strongly consider this type of glass. Along with our acid free boards and tapes should see your favorite art work last well into the future.
Two beautiful prints in for framing with an elegant simple gold frame and slender mounts. Using ARTGLASS AR 70 non reflective glass it's almost like there's no glass in the frame. This glass also has 70% UV protection built in.
A nice set of 3 paintings left in to be framed. Using our Valiani mount cutter we were able to easily cut the circles in the mounts
Beautiful set of prints done in a simple black frame with a beach mount that resembles sand.
If you haven't heard we're based in the old post office in Portmarnock, entrance through Print Chain and across the road from St. Marnocks National School.
We frame most items from photos to painting to memorabilia.
We also specialise in printing fine art prints and reproduction of art work. 🎨
Here's johnny! Can you guess the film
Great to have this completed on behalf of Graham Skelly who took it apon himself to raise money for not pollution back in 2020. Graham cycled from Dublin to Galway and back and raised over €2500 for his effort.
We're open Saturday 10 to 2 and Monday to Friday 9 to 5, closed for lunch 1 to 2.
Why not drop by and don't forget to give us a follow on facebook.
Lovely canvas all the way from South Africa brought in to be stretched. We also print on canvas as part of our large format printing.
Battersea Power Station . A well balanced piece with the burgundy inner mount setting of the colour in the print. The client went with non reflective glass which always looks amazing.

Got this deed on parchment in and it dates from the 17th century. First job was to try and relax the creases but building a hydration chamber and baby sit it for 8 hours at a time.
The next process was to mount it without causing damage to it. This was done by suspending it in a mylar jacket. The next stage was to protect the wax seal which ment building a sub frame at the rear to increase the depth.
The mount was cut using valiani corners.
I'm very please with the outcome but really didn't anticipate the amount of work involved. But sometimes is nice to get your hands on something unusual to highlight your skills and knowledge.
pictureframing.
Don't forget we're located in the old Post office unit in Portmarnock.
That's a wrap Rick
Always nice to have a local artists work come in. Our client brought in this print of a painting by local artist for framing. I'm sure you all recognise the locations.
Anyway we seattled for a white frame and mount with a green inner mount to compliment the grass in the picture.
.
Great when you get a piece in that you can really sink your teeth into especially when you more or less get free reign on the design
It doesn't matter how beautiful you are if you don't believe it yourself.
Love this print that was brought it, the green frame and cream mount really compliment the picture. Added to that the client went with art glass that has a 70% uv coating and a non reflective coating.
Don't forget we also do large format fine art printing, not just bespoke picture framing. We carry a range of fine art papers to match whatever type of photo you Bring in
Not a bad first week at all at all.
Delighted to have some of Nicola Weldon artist work displayed in our small gallery for sale.
We would be expecting to add more to this from other artists going forward.
Anyway don't forget us we're in the old post office, in Portmarnock
