Today we had our first kids' class at Ringsend and Irishtown Community Centre.

We started the class with warming-up exercises followed by ukemi, shikko walking and tai-sabaki exercises.

As for techniques we did:
- Tai no Henko
- Kosadori Ikkyo
- Zagi Kokyuho

At the end of class, we did core strength training and cooling down exercises.

Dear friends, we don't have a class at our Balbriggan Dojo today due to the Balbriggan Beach festival. From 12 o'clock we open the Aikido information stand and from 2 to 4 pm we do demonstrations and short come-and-try sessions on the Balbriggan Beach

Today we held a free come-and-try outdoor Aikido session on the pitch near Martello Tower as a part of HER Outdoors Week organised by Fingal County Council Sports Office. The cloudy weather scared almost all our registered attendees, nevertheless we had a lot of fun practising Aiki-ken.

This time we introduced the basic Ken Suburi and Ken Awase.

Malmö Takemusu Aikido Dojo Dainius is visiting Malmö Takemusu Aikido Dojo in August together with many from his dojo in Lithuania. During the seminar he will focus his teaching on Inagaki Sensei´s bukiwasa. Dainius has not only been uchidechi in Iwama for more than five months, but also uke to Inagaki Sensei during classes....
