Saturday 8th June will be the last of day of our Bandon warehouse shop for now. When we moved into the warehouse in Bandon three years it seemed vast with plenty of room for a weekend shop! We’ve filled the warehouse and now need extra space so sadly the shop must go.

Thank you so much to the people of Bandon and surrounds for all the support in the shop. Thank you also to the great people that have run the shop so beautifully since it open: and Marie, Lynn and Leo 🙏🏼

I just love this photograph taken in our dairy quite a few years ago by of Franco twisting hot curd around his arm to get a good stretch for his caciocavallo.

Delight that our smoked Scamorza won gold at yesterday.

Big thanks to and the esteemed judges. Congratulations to all the winners and especially to our neighbours for a very well earned lifetime achievement award.

After a very busy Summer in the pizzeria/shop at our dairy all of our staff will return to school and college in the coming days and weeks. They have all worked so hard and are an absolutely fabulous bunch of girls. We can’t thank them enough for all the great work and wish them all the best for the coming year, especially those starting college.

We will be closed this weekend as they take a break (or head to Electric Picnic!).

We will be open again Saturday 2nd September. Our hours will revert back to Sat: shop 10-8. Pizza 12-8.
Sun: shop 10-6. Pizza 12-6.

A really inspiring week of natural cheese making with David Asher of at and a fabulous bunch of students last month. Today was the day to eat some little raw jersey cow and goat’s milk lactic cheeses we made with a natural clabber starter (last few photos). A starter is something you add to milk when making cheese to start the fermentation and speed up the growth of loads of different beneficial microorganisms. They have been ageing in conditions that promote the growth of the lovely all natural geotrichum candidim mould, which has been eating the lactose and making a white wrinkly soft creamy outside. There is absolutely nothing in these cheeses except fresh raw milk and a little salt. The goats cheese is so white (like buffalo milk) compared to the golden jersey milk. They taste delicious 👏🏻

Happy Monday! This morning we’re checking in on some of our favourite little residents - our Buffalo calves 🩵

Our Loomi cheese is such a star in salads, burgers & chargrilled on the bbq you can add to any of your favourite summer recipes 🌞😋

Made with cow’s milk, it is a fantastic cooking cheese because it has a very high melting point and so holds it's form when heated.

Halloumi is the cheese of Cyprus, and traditionally would include ewe and goat milk. It was awarded the protected designation of origin (PDO) certificate under the EU quality scheme, which means only Halloumi made in Cyprus can be labelled as such, hence ours is Loomi!

Many of our fabulous regular customers will be missing Ann Marie, who ran the shop from the start. We would like to wish her and her husband every success and happiness in their own fabulous venture in Clonakilty .deli and thank her so much for running a great shop.
