Applied Scholastics is a network of non-profit educational organisations that aim to provide tools for learning and literacy based on the discoveries of Mr. L.
Ron Hubbard - an award-winning author, educator, philosopher and founder of Scientology.
It looks like a solution can be found for every problem.
Help students define their world!
Any difficulty in a subject can be traced back to the words one did not get properly defined. The only reason a person gives up a study or becomes confused or unable to learn is because he has gone past a word that was not understood.
With the Applied Scholastics™ Glossaries & Vocabulary set, we've created an easy and convenient way for teachers, tutors and homeschooling parents to help students identify and define the key words they encounter throughout the subjects they study.
Available individually or as a set on our website here:
https://www.apsspanishlake.org/product-page/glossaries-set-of-6-subjects
“At the root of educational failures lies a fundamental situation that has been almost universally overlooked: Students have never been taught how to learn.”
https://www.freedommag.org/english/vol36i1/page16.htm
On the occasion of World Book Day, 23 April 2022
"When words are understood, communication can take place, and with communication any given subject can be understood."
L. Ron Hubbard
Words Are Wisdom
It’s interesting to consider that the power of just one word can make a person smile, cry, laugh, incite anger or even sooth.
As adults, we know that words have exact meanings and that many words have multiple meanings.
So why is it so often overlooked, the importance of defining words in building literacy skills and eliminating confusion? Context clues don’t define words. Dictionaries do.
Study Technology builds literacy. It does this by ensuring that words are properly defined and fully understood, thus increasing vocabulary and comprehension.

TEACHERS DAY! A day to recognize all the great teachers we met in our lives!
✨They're dream makers, not dream breakers.
🏆They never see the child only as a statistic or number, but as worthy of the recognition of his or her own individuality.
😀They strive to put and keep the joy in learning.
📈They seek the real barriers that prevent students from learning.
👑They help students learn the skills, gain the knowledge, and develop their abilities to be problem solvers.
🌼They're willing to find the magic residing in each child.
🎯They have high standards and expectations that they won't compromise.
Wise words from Bernard Percy, a well respected author and educator, and supporter of Applied Scholastics.

An exclusive LIVE interview with Mr Diego Martinez, the 2018 winner of the world-renowned "Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award". He poses the question: “If it’s possible to release the power of an atom on a regular basis, why can’t we release the power of students on a regular basis?”
In this interview we asked Mr. Martinez:
❓ HOW CAN WE RELEASE THE POWER OF STUDENTS ON A REGULAR BASIS?
❓ WHAT DOES AN EDUCATION SYSTEM NEED IN ORDER TO BE AHEAD OF ITS TIME?
❓ HOW CAN WE “REACH FOR THE STARS” IN EDUCATION RIGHT NOW?
Diego Martinez is a STEM teacher (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) who uses the Applied Scholastics Study Technology in his work with the NASA Space Centre Houston.
In 2018, he received this prestigious award for excellence in the development and application of technology in the classroom and professional development of teachers.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to meet and interview Mr Martinez! 🌟

👩🏼🏫👨🏻💼🤱🏻 Being a part of the Applied Scholastics team in Ireland is a great privilege and pleasure. I have learned so much from my involvement and participation in this team, both as a learner and an Instructor for Applied Scholastics.
👩🏼🌾 I believe we learn as we teach in a mutually rewarding exercise, I believe we share our knowledge and we reap the rewards of seeing others learn how to learn new things, enjoy new subjects and live in the spaces of their newly accomplished adventures.
🌱 This new year holds the seeds and buds of spring and promises the blasting sunshine of summer. It holds other seasons too. But the seasons of 2021 will come and go like others gone before it.
🌾 I have witnessed this 'harvesting' of personal and collective creation in my many years of teaching and of learning.
And the feeling is forever golden and priceless as I first felt it:
To share a journey with a student as they learn and grow is so incredibly captivating and immensely positive to all concerned.
💫 Therefore, as we meet the end of the passing year of 2020 and greet the birth of 2021, I wish you all 'the best of the best.
🌍 Yet we as lifelong learners, parents of younger learners, can share our time through lessons as we travel amid these seasons. This is my desire and hope for the new year to come: to continue to learn and grow.
That is my wish for 2021.
Sending out my love and greetings to all around me.💖
