Dr Paul was born and raised in Dublin and graduated from UCD School of Medicine.
He started part-time in aesthetic medicine in 2007 while working as a medical registrar in the Beacon Hospital before switching to it full-time in 2011.
He is responsible for Amara’s comprehensive approach to facial assessments.
He believes that an extensive first consultation is required so the patient can understand his plans, and make smart treatment decisions. He is an advocate of ‘less is more’ and is responsible for Amara’s “Subtle, natural results that last” philosophy.
Dr Paul trains regularly with industry-leading injectors at invite only sessions. His areas of speciality are all aspects of anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments – he is particularly known for his eye treatments (tear trough).

Most people who come to opt for natural treatment. For your first treatment it is a great way to start because you are guaranteed it will look natural. In fact, the worst thing that can happen is you wont get enough. Well, if that happens, its easy to add more to get it perfect, and then we know exactly the correct dose for your face and your goal. If you get strong treatment, it saves money, because it can last months longer. But the downside to budget treatment is... it looks budget. Do you like to keep your treatment under the radar?

Subtlety is key, especially under the eyes. It's important to leave a small dip as completely erasing the under eye hollow can be a bit weird. When a tear trough is done correctly, it shouldn’t get any comments but people should stop asking are you tired? 🙌
I typically suggest not exceeding one ml(one syringe) of dermal filler and full face Botox 4 times per year, but in this particular case I thought it would be a great opportunity to demonstrate how much can be done while still maintaining a completely natural look. For that reason, the amount of treatment surpassed my usual limit. In a session that took no more than 30 minutes, our lovely patient received four syringes of filler spread across the jaw line (consuming half of it), cheeks, and nose area. Additionally, she underwent three Botox areas between her eyebrows, forehead and around her eyes to complete the look. So many people don’t know how natural good work can look and how there is no need to fear getting treatment done with the right doctor. At the same time, bad work can look unnatural with just half a syringe in inexperienced hands. So it's not about how much you get… sometimes it’s about who's doing it…

Nurse Grainne did a full consultation, assessment & treatment of Profhilo on Dr Mylene. You can see her carefully measuring out 5x injections sites on either side of Dr Mylene's face & injecting Profhilo into each one.
