Our Surgical skills team, led by Mohammad, Dan, and Artur, along with Lea's volunteered assistance, put together a comprehensive surgical skills training session for SC1s. 💪📚

The workshop was designed to equip the students with all the essential skills required for their upcoming summer surgical electives. The SC1s were trained on a variety of suturing techniques, including simple interrupted, continuous, ford interlocking, vertical and horizontal, and subcuticular sutures. In addition, they were taught how to handle surgical tools in a safe and proper manner.

We wish them the very best of luck with their upcoming surgical electives and we hope that they found our workshop to be informative and valuable! 💡💉🙌🏼

"Suturing with a twist!” 🍌🍊🍅🍇Trauma Day 2023, our Surgical Skills Team led by Mohammad, Katelyn and Niall, had the honor of leading the 'Reverse Fruit Ninja' workshop, where we taught attendees how to perform a pledgeted horizontal mattress suture on different fruits to mimic various types of tissue. It was a unique and exciting way to learn about trauma surgery, and we're grateful to the Emergency Society for hosting such a successful event. Massive congratulations to Committee on organizing an incredibly successful Trauma Day 2023! 👏 The event was a fantastic opportunity for attendees to learn and gain valuable skills. We hope that all of the attendees enjoyed the event as much as we did! Thank you for inviting us to be a part of it! 🤗 🙌
