Phil is a Dublin local carpenter, your friendly neighbourhood Axe thrower, He has been throwing for 2 years and says “It’s the best stress reliever and team fun he has ever had” and again, we tend to agree with these sorts of statements, don’t wanna argue with a man that’s handy with any tool 😉

Todays is the day, Nick Conroy Ladies and Gentlemen 👏
Nick didn’t manage to go to the world championships this time, but we know he would have crushed! 🤘Nick is one of our beloved instructors, master bushcrafter, tracker and definitely best beard in the business!
If you have thrown a double bit axe at our range in Wicklow, you have met Nick 🫵🤨
Also, sneaky peak of our favourite axe to throw in that last picture, thanks 😉🪓
And here is the Menace himself, Adam Kilbride ☠️
Named the most erratic thrower at this world championships 🫨
He says “Throwing axes since 2021, still luckier than talented”
With the trick shots he pulls at the club, we are tempted to think that erratic is right 😂 non the less, a true G and a fun guy all around 🍄

Meet Leon O’Neil 🦁
Leon is from Jobstown in Tallaght, he works as a Purchasing Manager in the InterContinental Hotel “I’ve been throwing double bit axes for 6 months now, and The club is a great hobby to get involved in, a new skill and meeting great people”
Another one of our members that recommends visiting the axe club to anyone and everyone, must be a theme going on here 🤨 I’d listen to them 🫡
Next up, the machine, the beast from the east, Nino Marsanic:
Nino is originally from Croatia 🇭🇷. He got hooked on axe-throwing in the past year and a half, and says “there’s no good reason not to try it out for yourselves”. All of it started here in Ireland, and it seems there’s no end to it for him. “As I said before. No axe-plaining is needed. Come and join us for some craic!”
And we all agree with him, just come and try for yourselves! 🪓
Todays axe thrower: Sinead O’Connor 🪓
“I won my first axe in the Irish open in 2021 for best new comer. I’ve been managing axe club for over 3 years and I’m always changing from hatchets to double bit. Love the satisfactory sound of the axe hitting the target in the sweet spot” ✨Thunk✨
Moving on to the last stage of the world competitions today, so send her luck! Go team Axe Club! 🎯 😎
Todays axe thrower is Mark Finnegan 🫡
Mark has been throwing axes since august 2020. “It’s a sport I can find a calmness almost meditation from”. This is Marks second ever competition and his target is not to come last. “ I’m looking forward to meeting all the competitors from many countries and representing Ireland the best I can”
He has been in the axe club longer than any of the other members and longer than most of the instructors. A true legend of Axe club indeed! 😎
Thanks to .club for hosting the championships and thanks to for sponsoring us with some glorious merch 👕
Next up is Phil O’Grady! Repping Axe club in the world Championships over with .club 😎

Big surprise when I got a call up for the Irish team for the double bit world championships but proud to represent my country in this sport” 🇮🇪🍀🪓
And we are proud to have him do it! 👏
