So with the Summer heatwaves in full swing... ensure to keep your skin hydrated and I dont mean with water!
Use moisturisers that do not contain oil or you ll absolutely fry in the sunshine .. those that have severe broken and dry skin like myself - it's best we stay in the shade and cover up best we can ... direct sunshine on our delicate skin increases the risk if skin cancer!!
Those with children who have skin disorders be careful of your holiday destinations - remember sea water contains salt and burns like acid kn broken skin.. ****DESPITE RECOMME DATIONS PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SEA AS A NATURAL REMEDY FOR CHILDREN !!! ****
( think if you cut your finger and eat salt and vinegar crisps, does or hurt ??? Hell yeah.. so dont do it to your children !! - when they're older they can decide for themselves ...

So believe it or not I'm surviving this heat in Italy at 32 degrees and being al ost 7 months pregnant.. my skin had a flare up but we are due a storm, so I feel the change coming before anyone else..
Just an fyi please be careful out on the sun and especially with kids with skin disorders.. direct sunlight burns broken skin , making it unbearably itchy and too much sun we are in particular high risk for developing skin cancer.. I personally cover up as much as possible.. at 41 I cant afford to take chances..

So paid a visit to the pharmacy here in Italy looking for something new to try on my skin.. now the heat is at an incredible 32 degrees,my skin is itching and is quite dry.. I recommended this oil to use. Using oils makes it always dangerous to outside in the sun as I cannot use sun creams as they also make my skin dry and irritated.. looking forward to having a go of this ..

Here is the details of the cream my mom picked up in Spain that helped my daughter.. see previous post..

So in these past weeks I have noticed my own daughter develop what appears to be excema on the back of her hands. At the same time she is teething (18 months old), and is beginning to become a chatterbox with a little temper showing at times... I just wonder do all of these combined create a stress in children that they develop skin disorders.. hmm one wonders. .
However my Mom came to visit with a new cream she picked up in Spain.. within seconds stops itching and reduces the red blotches within hours.. here is the name for those interested .. I have not yet tried it on myself as I am 6 mths pregnant now and my skin is not the best due to hormonal changes, and weather hasn't helped .

So today it was such a four seasoned day... this morning at 7am the sun was shining so brightly, and it was so warm.. just like a summers day... by 11.30 it had changed to a very dark day, lashed rain and an hour later it was thunder and lightning.. at exactly 3.30 it began to hail with the rain that was falling.. now it has subsided just just heavy winds.. ky point my skin broke before this weather change. If you are a sufferer watch for these changes..

03/05/2019

So just realised my own skin breaking down at the moment.. the reason?? The weather changes.. the temperature is unstable, sticky and in need of a storm to break it up... I find that my skin breaks BEFORE the notice on the TV.. it's like it feels the atmospheric differences before the change is felt. I get it from heavy rain, ice, snow, warm weather, hot weather, storms etc.. cant tell what type of weather just that there is a change happening. Anyone else s skin react like this ??

Some more tips for itchy skin in particular eczema
1. Keep skin clean
2. Do not use wipes to clean skin
3. Use clean warm water only
4. Keep hydrated using creams that are natural .. warning I'm personally allergic to aloe vera so cant use its products.. it's too strong..
5. Warning.. not all baby hypoallergenic products.. some burn like acid as broken skin is very and highly likely to inflame, weep, swell and break without the scratching.. every skin disorder must be treated differently.. not all products suit everyone

Some little rules to follow when break outs happen
1. Try to stay calm
2. Keep cool
3. Stay away from direct sunlight
4. Keep hydrated with ice cooled water
5. Remove heavy, sticky, wooley materials from skin
6. Do not use oils / oily barrier creams in the sun - burn very fast
7. Try to stay away from cut grass and pollen filled flowers
8. Broken skin burns when salt or seaweed etc is used.. please be aware that children cannot tell you these things.. be careful at the beaches.
9. Chlorine filled pools are the same however they clean the skin and make it extremely soft and fragile
10. If in doubt, remember the blood is boiling when the skin is itchy.. control the temperature around the skin
11. Ensure animals hair does not come close to broken skin.

So getting close to Summer time now and I see that skin flares ups are on the rise and young children are really suffering ... I will upload some pictures of recommended creams from those that suffer not suppliers that tell you its good...
