October 25th 2023, marked the official opening of the €4.8m UCD Bimeda Herd Health Hub and UCD AgTech Innovation Centre at Lyons Farm in Kildare, Ireland.
Funding for the new facility has been provided by a philanthropic donation from Bimeda to the University through UCD Foundation, Enterprise Ireland, through the Regional Enterprise Development Fund and UCD.
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney TD, Bimeda Holdings Chairman Donal Tierney, Professor Helen Roche, Interim UCD Vice-President for Research and Carol Gibbons, Manager, Regions and Local Enterprise, Enterprise Ireland officially opened the facility today.
